Wake-Up Call
If you’re staying at a Disney hotel, start your day with a call from Mickey. Just use the phone system to arrange a wake-up call, and when the phone rings, Mickey welcomes you to the new day! When your wake-up call comes in, press the speakerphone button so everyone in the room can hear it!
Personalized Vacation T-Shirts
In recent years we’ve spotted families and groups of vacationers wearing t-shirts personalized with their name and/or vacation dates. Not only is this fun and celebratory, but having your group wear the same shirt makes it easier to spot each other in the crowds. Some vacationers make the shirts themselves using a computer and iron-on, inkjet transfer sheets available at most office supply stores. You can also order personalized shirts with Disney images at http://www.customink.com/photos/tags/disney.
Disney Shopping Services
Want a gift basket or stuffed Mickey delivered to your room? Disney hotel guests can call 714-300-7526 to order special (and pricey!) items. If you're at home, you can use the mail-order service known as Disneyland DelivEARS at 800-362-4533 (8:00 am–5:00 pm PT on Monday–Friday and 8:00 am–4:00 pm PT on Saturday). You'll also find Disney Parks Products online at http://www.disneystore.com (click Disney Parks Product).
Ride in the Front of the Monorail
If you’re waiting to ride the monorail, ask the cast member on the platform about riding in the front nose cone. The view is fabulous! Keep in mind that you may need to wait for a specific monorail to arrive, and that there may be others waiting ahead of you. Monorail nose cone rides are available when traffic and crowds permit, too. If it seems busy, feel free to let the cast member know you are willing to wait for subsequent trains in order to ride. Your best bet is to ask to ride during non-peak times. Seating is strictly limited to four guests, and you may be seated with others. Note that wheelchairs cannot ride in the front nose cone.
Free Things at Disneyland
It's certainly easy to spend big bucks at Disneyland, but VIPs (that's you!) can get some excellent freebies! Pick up a free Celebration button at City Hall in Disneyland Park—they have buttons for first trips, honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays, and general celebrations! Request a free driver's license at Autopia, and get free photography assistance by asking a PhotoPass cast member at any photo spot to take a photo of you with your own camera. Pick up a free copy of the Buena Vista Bugle at Disney California Adventure, and don't forget your free chocolate samples at Ghirardelli and free bread at The Bakery Tour hosted by the Boudin Bakery, both at Pacific Wharf. Take a free tour of Carthay Circle's restaurant, offered daily at 10:30 am (ask a cast member at the restaurant). The free "Art of the Craft" tour at Grand Californian Hotel is usually offered on Saturday afternoons (ask a cast member at the Concierge desk; it's a good idea to sign up in advance). You can get free wi-fi Internet access in any of the three Disneyland-owned hotels (we like the Grand Californian lobby).
