Hang out at one of the “hippest” places in Hollywood at Universal CityWalk. Wild architecture, blinking neon signs, and street performers create a high energy urban experience at this shopping, dining, and recreation destination next door to Universal Studios theme park. A few steps from the entrance to Universal Studios, Universal CityWalk is a great place to experience the street scene in a relatively safe, clean environment. It’s fun and free to stroll along this pedestrian-only outdoor mall where you can explore shops, restaurants, and nightclubs, as well as spy a 27-foot-tall neon King Kong clinging to the side of a building. Need a souvenir that screams “Hollywood?” This is the place to find it. Wild storefronts, including a smoking alien spacecraft, a giant toucan, and hundreds of PEZ dispensers, welcome you to dozens of unique shops that will appeal to everyone. Film buffs like the Universal Studio Store, with merchandise featuring the latest blockbusters, favorite classics, and theme park souvenirs. Science fiction fans flock to Things From Another World for graphic novels, sci-fi toys, and movie memorabilia, and Lids offers an endless array of both sports caps and fashion headwear. Want to dress like a star? Shop for trendy clothing at Abercrombie & Fitch, GUESS, and ANGL, then get outfitted California-style at Billabong, Flip Flop Shops, and Element. Find music and pop culture-inspired clothing and accessories at Hot Topic. Go to Fossil for watches, accessories, and T‑shirts, pick up stylish footwear at Skechers, and warm your toes at the Los Angeles Sock Market. Of course, no Hollywood outfit is complete without sunglasses from SCENE and cosmetics from LUSH. Show your team colors with something from The Raider Image, Locker Room by Lids, or Dodgers Clubhouse. Find your favorite childhood toys at Sparky’s and Crow’s Nest Toys. Magnet Max even has more than 1000 magnets for your refrigerator. Got the munchies? Find nearly any sort of candy at IT’SUGAR, grab mini donuts at Sparky's, and satisfy your popcorn obsession at Popcornopolis. If you need a caffeine fix, head to Starbuck's or The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. Rock out at the Hard Rock Cafe store, then take a quiet break at the Upstart Crow Bookstore and Coffeehouse. After all that, you can escape at Zen Zone, an oxygen bar with one-minute spa products. |
