Cars Land, which opened in 2012, brings Disney's 2006 Cars delightfully to life. As you enter the town of Radiator Springs—via Route 66, of course!—it's like stepping right into the movie. Puns are everywhere, from street signs to shop names, and the attention to detail is the usual amazing effort by Disney's Imagineers. The mountains of the Cadillac Range loom in the background as you interact with Lightning McQueen, Mater, and Red. Get a snack at the Cozy Cone Motel or Fillmore's Taste-In, or a meal at Flo's V8 Cafe, or shop at Sarge's Surplus Hut—it's all "auto-thentic" to the movie and lots of fun! For a real treat, visit Cars Land at twilight or at night; watching the lights turn on is a magical experience. Neon lights up the street, and the Cadillac Range is softly lit and beautiful. Hint: use a tripod or similar device for best results if you're taking a picture! |
This mild but fun ride replaced Luigi's Flying Tires in March 2016. Luigi invited his familia to visit from Italy, and they perform traditional dances, as seen in "Cars 2." This is Disneyland's first trackless ride, and each roadster has its own distinct choreography as it dances to music written especially for this ride. Close inspection shows the cars rest on and rotate around metal structures underneath, while the whitewall tires don't actually touch the ground. The technology is amazing, but lines are generally short, so don't miss this new attractions. Check out the details of the Italian garden as you dance the day away. Rider switch available. Must transfer from ECV. During Halloween Time (September 15-October 31, 2017), this attraction transforms into Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween with spooky twists on classic Italian songs and spins around the graveyard. Height restriction: 32" / 81 cm

Prepare to do battle with centrifugal forces as you ride in a trailer pulled by the cutest little tractors you've ever seen! Although the tractors are on tracks, you may still be taken by surprise as you slide from side to side when the tractors start pulling. You never see Mater in this ride, but you can hear him singing any of seven original songs composed for this ride by Disney songwriters. It's a fun ride, but not for anyone with back or balance problems! Children younger than 7 must be accompanied by someone 14 or older. Must transfer from wheelchair to ride. Rider switch available. During Halloween Time (September 15-October 31, 2017), this attraction transforms into in Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree with new songs like "Monster Truck Smash" and "Welcome to Radiator Screams." Height restriction: 32" / 81 cm

Your road trip starts out as a short jaunt through Radiator Springs...and then you join Mater in a friendly game of tractor-tipping. Zooming away from the farmer, you encounter other town inhabitants, then your car gets a little grooming, in either Ramone's House of Body Art or Luigi's Casa Della Tires. Then you're off on a high-speed, friendly race with another car full of guests, through the hills, twists, and turns of Ornament Valley! Which car will win? Smile for the camera at the finish line. If you like Test Track, you'll love Radiator Springs Racers! Lines for the ride are often huge, so consider heading off for a FASTPASS as soon as the gates open, or take the single rider line if you don't mind splitting up the party. Rider switch available. Health warning. Must transfer from wheelchair/ECV. Handheld captioning. Height restriction: 40" / 102 cm

RE: Cars Land
Happy to do any of these but more interested in the theming than the riding and want to see it by day and night
