You could almost spend a full day just enjoying the entertainment at Disney California Adventure! From street performers on Buena Vista Street to live shows to a parade, entertainment is the name of the game at this park. Throughout the day, you may see Five & Dime, a Roaring 20's-style jazz group, playing jazz standards and a new musical finale, along with their friend Goofy. The Red Car Trolley News Boys recreate the 1920's, when a young mouse named Mickey hits Hollywood, hoping to make it big, in this high-energy performance. |
The Pixar Play Parade winds around the park following the Performance Corridor (see map for route). Your favorite Pixar characters come to life most afternoons, just for this event! The pre-schoolers in your group will be gaga over the new Disney Junior Dance Party! Replacing the former Disney Junior—Live on Stage!, this high-energy show features Doc McStuffins and Sofia the First, as well ascharactersfromThe Lion Guard and the new cartoon series Mickey and the Roadster Racers. Showtimes are 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, 2:15 pm, and 3:15 pm. The biggest change in Hollywood Land is a the musical stage show based on Frozen, which debuted in May 2016 at the Hyperion Theater. It replaced the fantastic Disney's Aladdin - A Musical Spectacular, which wowed millions of fans in its more than 14,000 shows with the wisecracking genie. Enjoy the heartwarming story of the Arendelle princesses, Anna and Elsa, as well as Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf, brought to life with stunning costumes, amazing special effects, and elaborate production numbers. You'll find several ways to see this show: wait in line, get a FASTPASS, or buy one of the packages with preferred seating. A dedicated FASTPASS machine just left of the theater distributes tickets for the shows, filling the first before giving out seats for the second, and so on. You can't select which show you'll see. A pre-show package is available for $49, booked online at https://disneyland.disney.go.com/dining/disney-california-adventure/frozen-live-at-hyperion-pre-show/ (where you'll find more details). This package includes an exclusive pre-show event with refreshments and priority seating (see page 250). A $99 lunch package ($79 for children) includes all of the above, plus lunch at the signature Carthay Circle Restaurant, featuring a three-course meal with a special Olaf's Summer Dream Vacation dessert. This package can be purchased online at https://disneyland.disney.go.com/dining/disney-california-adventure/frozen-live-at-hyperion-pre-show-plus-lunch/. See page 250 for more details. The true Frozen fanatic with cash to spare will want the full experience: the Frozen Signature Dining and Behind-the-Scenes Package, at $299, includes dinnner, the pre-show, a backstage peek, and special photo—see page 250. Find more details at https://disneyland.disney.go.com/entertainment/disney-california-adventure/frozen-live-at-hyperion/. This is the only behind-the-scenes tour at the Disneyland Resort. Alas, these experiences do not have Annual Passholder discounts. Prices do not include tax or gratuities.
