Unlike Disneyland Park, the layout of Disney California Adventure is free-form, much like the personalities of California (see page 122). Below are the lands, roughly in clockwise order, along with descriptions and headline attractions.  Look behind the map to see our favorite itineraries and an at-a-glance list of attractions, and then start with page 128 to see attraction details.

Buena Vista Street         Enjoy the shops, restaurants, and character meet-and-greets as you first enter the park, or hop onto the Red Car Trolley for a short jaunt to Hollywood Land. You just might see some street performers singing and dancing, too.

Hollywood  Land

Explore the glamour of Tinsel Town, checking out shops and eateries with pun-filled names (Schmoozies or Award Wieners, anyone?) and Hollywood-inspired attractions.  Be on the lookout for your favorite characters, as they tend to gather in front of Animation Academy. Headline attractions: Tower of Terror, Monsters, Inc., Anna & Elsa's Royal Greeting

Cars Land

Enter the town of Radiator Springs from Disney's 2006 movie Cars. The theming is "auto-thentic" and delightfully true to the movie. From Flo's V-8 Cafe and the Cozy Cone Motel to Radiator Springs Racers, you'll feel as if you're in the movie yourself! Headline attractions: Mater's Junkyard Jamboree, Radiator Springs Racers, Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters

"a bug's land"

Become the size of a bug in Flik's Fun Fair. Your littlest bugs will find rides designed just for them, with typical Disney flair, including water play in Princess Dot Puddle Park. The painstaking attention to detail and pint-sized attractions will make you love being a bug!   Headline attraction: It's Tough to be a Bug
Pacific Wharf

On this dock reminiscent of Cannery Row, find restaurants, shops, and free samples of yummy sourdough bread and chocolates!

Pixar Pier

(Formerly Paradise Pier) Step into four neighborhoods with your friends from Pixar movies, including The Incredibles, Toy Story, and more! Enjoy mid-century classic rides like a "wooden" roller coaster, an old-fashioned carousel, and a giant Ferris wheel with a Pixar twist. Headline attractions: Incredicoaster, Toy Story Midway Mania, Ariel's Undersea Adventure

Grizzly Peak

Explore rugged forest areas of the Golden State via the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, shoot the rapids, or soar high over California. Headline attractions: Grizzly River Run, Soarin' Around the World
