If you haven’t visited Disney California Adventure in several years, you’re in for a treat with its abundance of new attractions, and if you’re new to the park, expect to see a beautiful recreation of California’s iconic tourist sites, with a side of Hollywood-style fantasy. From the boardwalk atmosphere of Paradise Pier, to the splendor of World of Color and the whimsical recreation of Radiator Springs in Cars Land, Disney California Adventure is a trip worth taking. It’s a short stroll across the central plaza from Disneyland Park. |
AMBIENCE It is too often underrated, but we think Disney California Adventure is Disney’s most beautiful park. Disney’s Imagineers have created a breathtaking vista, with stunning views at every turn, whether it’s the tips of Grizzly Peak, the carnival lights of Paradise Pier (especially gorgeous at sunset), the Ornament Valley skyline of Cars Land, or the one-of-a-kind nighttime spectacular that is World of Color. But don’t think this is just a place to sightsee; rides range from the sedate but beautiful King Triton’s Carousel to the wild fun of The Incredicoaster and the rip-roaring speed of Radiator Springs Racers in this park’s seven “lands.” The princesses in your group will be happy to know Anna and Elsa from Disney’s Frozen now have a permanent meet-and-greet area. You might even get to give Olaf a warm hug! |
