Go for a short, fast spin in a cozy, two-seat rocket. You’ll zip around a colorful, futuristic sculpture in which the fanciful planets go into motion with each launch. Think Fantasyland’s Dumbo with small, golden space ships going higher and faster. Pull back on your ship’s stick to “soar” high. Get a great view as your ship whirls. Motion sickness warning! Outdoor, uncovered queue; long waits. Adults must accompany kids. Transfer from wheelchair to ride. Originally the Astro-Jets, which opened in 1956. |

Every kid wants a chance to drive and, when they’re tall enough, they can at this popular attraction, renovated with all-new cars in early 2016. Now "powered by Honda," this classic attraction has a new storyline featuring Honda’s ASIMO robot and his robotic friend, "Bird." Experienced drivers won’t be as thrilled. Guide rails, shock-absorbing bumpers, and a low top speed (7 mph/11 kph maximum) make these gas-powered, two-seater cars safe. Three different models of cars are available to drive: a “sports” car, an “off-road” vehicle, and a “VW Bug”-like car. Mostly covered outdoor queue. Must transfer from wheelchair to ride. 52"/132 cm. height restriction to drive solo; minimum age to ride is 1 year. Rider swap available. Expect long waits. Health warning. Adult supervision required. We think the theming here makes it a better attraction than Walt Disney World’s version. One of the original 1955 rides! Height restriction: 32" / 81 cm

Hey, Space Rangers, this fun attraction lets you help Toy Story’s Buzz Lightyear defeat the evil Emperor Zurg! Buzz himself briefs new cadets before you’re sent into battle in a comic-book world. Your two-seat space vehicle (an “XP-37 Space Cruiser”) is equipped with a pair of “ion cannons” (laser pointers) on cables. Aim and shoot the electronic targets to accumulate points. Move the joystick to make your vehicle spin and hone in on your targets. Compare your scores at the end, and email your photo home for free! Hint: diamond targets have the highest point values, and triangles are next-highest. Covered queue area is mostly indoors. Get a FASTPASS or expect medium to long lines. Must transfer from ECV to wheelchair. Handheld captioning. |
