John Wayne/Orange Co. Airports

GETTING AROUND THE JOHN WAYNE/ORANGE COUNTY AIRPORT (SNA)

Yes, John Wayne Airport really is named after the famous actor, though the airport’s abbreviation (SNA) is due to its location in Santa Ana. (If you have extra time, see the huge bronze statue of John Wayne located near the front of the airport!) This medium-sized, modern airport is the closest airport to Disneyland. Its two terminals (A and B) are connected to form one long corridor. Ticketing and gates are on the upper level, while baggage claim and ground transportation are on the lower level. For more information, call 949-252-5200 or visit http://www.ocair.com. Airport address: 18601 Airport Way, Santa Ana, CA 92707.

GETTING AROUND THE LONG BEACH AIRPORT (LGB)

Long Beach Airport is a small airport about 20 miles from Disneyland. It serves just three commercial airlines: American Airlines, Delta, and jetBlue. The terminal has two boarding lounges— north (for jetBlue) and south (for the rest). Thanks to its size, this is an easy airport to move about—just follow the signs. Note that the north and south wings have their own baggage claim areas. For details on the Long Beach Airport, call 562-570- 2600 (recording), 562-570-2619 (live person), or visit http://www.lgb.org. Airport address: 4100 Donald Douglas Drive, Long Beach, CA 90808.
