Time- and Money-Saving Tips

✔  If you’re staying at a Walt Disney World resort hotel, you can make all of your advance dining reservations for the length of your stay (up to 10 days in advance) at 180 days from your arrival date.

✔  Inquire with Disney about Dining Plan add-ons to resort reservations (see page 223). At press time, Disney is offering a free Dining Plan for select packages and dates. If the Dining Plan is not free, the Basic and Quick-Service Dining Plans only offer marginal savings. The Deluxe Dining Plan is a better deal, but only for those who normally eat three table-service meals a day and typically spend at least $90/day per adult.

✔  At counter-service eateries, there are usually several lines. The line farthest from the entry is often shorter. Look before you leap. Also note that counter-service eateries have lines on both sides of the cash register. If you see a short or nonexistent line on one side of an open register, jump in!

✔  Consider eating earlier or later than traditional mealtime hours. You’ll be more likely to get a seat (if you haven’t made reservations) or simply find the restaurant less crowded and noisy.

✔  Every item at counter-service restaurants can be ordered a la carte. If you don’t want fries with that burger “meal,” just ask, and you’ll pay a reduced price.

✔  Landry’s Select Club offers discounts at Rainforest Cafe, T-Rex, Yak and Yeti, and 400 other Landry’s locations. Get details at http://www.landrysinc.com. Annual passholder discounts may also be offered at these spots.

✔  The Tables in Wonderland program is for Florida residents and annual passholders. It offers 20% discounts on select restaurants in the parks and resorts, and more. See page 10 for details.

✔  Resort eateries are frequently less crowded than those in the parks. Consider a visit to a nearby resort restaurant before, during, or after a park visit. The Contemporary, Polynesian Village, and Grand Floridian resorts are close to the Magic Kingdom, the Yacht & Beach Club, BoardWalk, and Swan & Dolphin restaurants are close to Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is a short drive/bus ride from Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

✔  Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members will receive a 30% discount when dining before 6:30 pm or after 8:30 pm at select table service restaurants now through September 30, 2017.
