Although we’re not sure how barbecue fits in with the Animal Kingdom motif, we can’t knock it, because it’s good stuff. Pork, chicken, turkey, and beef are smoked right on premises and is available sliced on sandwiches ($9.99–$10.99) and arrayed on platters ($13.99–$19.99). The condiment stations offer traditional and mustard-based barbecue sauces. French fries with pulled pork and cheese ($6.49) is a fun alternative. Chicken drumstick, chicken sandwich, and PB&J for the kids ($5.49–$5.99). Inspired by African street food, this recently expanded eatery offers four walk-up stations with specialities like karubi ribs ($13.49), grilled chicken skewer ($9.99), beef and pork sausage ($9.99), and warm malva spike cake ($4.59). This popular pizzeria centrally located in Disney’s Animal Kingdom serves individual cheese, pepperoni, Mediterranean, and shrimp flatbreads ($10.49–$13.49), romaine salad ($9.99–$11.29), and garlic knots ($6.99). Kids meals are $5.99–$6.99. Mobile ordering through the My Disney Experience app is available here. Seating is indoors and air-conditioned in brightly decorated, uniquely themed dining areas. Look for quieter seating toward the back of the restaurant or outside on the patio. Kosher items available here. Re-opened after an autumn 2015 refurbishment with a revised menu and a new exterior paint job, and it no longer offers breakfast. A new table-service restaurant, Tiffins, opened at the rear of Pizzafari in spring 2016.

Pongu Pongu means party party in Na'vi! This new beverage spot in Pandora is the place to get cool beverages, such as the non-alcoholic Night Blossom with passion fruit boba balls. There are plenty of adult beverages here as well. You can add light-up "Unadelta seeds" to drinks for fun glow effects. If you need a bite to eat, the Pongu Lumpia (pineapple cream cheese spring rolls, $4.59) are quite delicious.

Environmentally conscious dining in an artificial rainforest hidden behind a two-story waterfall? It even rains indoors! The Rainforest Cafe puts on quite a show and piles your plate with tasty, inventive foods representing many different cuisines. Hearty breakfasts ($8.99–$13.99), enormous sandwiches ($12.99–$16.99), pastas ($18.99–$21.99), steaks, chicken, and ribs ($18.99–$30.99), seafood ($22.99–$26.99), and mountainous salads ($15.99–$16.99) overflow the menu. Smoothies and specialty alcoholic drinks are popular. Located just outside the gates (no park admission required). This was the first table-service restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
