Enjoy authentic Nordic fare (lunch is $44.53-$50.05/$27.55-$30.75 kids ages 3–9, dinner is $48.85-$55.3/$28.55-$32.81—includes tax) in a replica of a rustic Norwegian castle, complete with Disney princesses all day long. Many diners have been happily surprised by food that’s both remarkably familiar and somewhat unusual. Cold buffet. Hot specialties are brought to your table. Enjoy meats, cheeses, pasta, pan-seared salmon, Kjøttkake (Norwegian meatballs), and a variety of salads. Kids can get chicken breast, salmon, grilled beef, meatballs, macaroni, or pizza. Soft drinks and dessert are included. Breakfast ($42.46-$50.85/$26.49-$28.68 kids ages 3–9) offers a Norwegian Smorgasbord plus eggs, sausage, bacon, and potato casserole. Variable pricing is based on time of year (value vs. peak) and day of week (weekday vs. weekend). For character meal details, see page 262

Willkommen! A Bavarian town square in the midst of Oktoberfest is the setting for a hearty and satisfying German buffet (lunch is $25.42–$33.00/$13.77–$18.00 kids; dinner is $40.46/$21.29 kids—tax included). Wurst (sausages) with sauerkraut, pork schnitzel, Spätzle, red cabbage, and roast chicken reign supreme at lunch. A first-rate sauerbraten and beef rouladen are added at dinner. Every dish and side dish is several cuts above the typical German eatery. Musicians in lederhosen are on stage to entertain. Can you say “Gemütlichkeit?” (It roughly translates to “good feeling.”) A large salad bar may even please some vegetarians, but this isn’t the place for a light meal. Desserts and soft drinks are included; beverages are extra. There’s Beck’s beer on tap and a good German wine list.

This upscale restaurant offers a leisurely, quintessentially French meal in quiet, elegant surroundings. And, no, it’s not as stuffy as you might think. The escargot ravioli with parsley cream was a refreshing take on a classic, the filet of beef forestier spot on, and our companions were equally pleased with their picks. We see no values on the optional prixe fixe menu. The wine list is excellent, but pricey. Ask for a window seat and linger until IllumiNations.

Changes to the France pavilion some years ago brought a move to bigger digs and a more-than-bakery menu for this popular spot, which is now inside the Galerie les Halles shop. The menu includes a turkey and bacon sandwich ($8.50) and Poulet au Pistou ($9.00). The ham and cheese croissants ($4.75), a cheese plate ($9.25) and French bread ($2.95) make a nice, light lunch, while croissants ($2.25–$3.35), eclairs ($4.25), chocolate mousse ($4.50), and macarons ($5.75–$10.33) satisfy sweet tooths. The bakery’s old space became the Glacier ice cream parlor.
