DINING AT DISNEYQUEST Disney operated a satisfying counter-service eatery called FoodQuest spread over two levels (see page 252). FoodQuest offered an appetizing variety of pizzas, salads, burgers, sandwiches, and wraps, plus tempting desserts. All sorts of luxurious coffee concoctions were available as well. Note that there used to be a Cheesecake Factory here years ago. |
TIPS FOR DISNEYQUEST First-time visitors should spend time exploring the entire place before splitting up. While you’re at it, choose a meeting place and time. FoodQuest is a good choice with places to sit, and the Ventureport on the third floor is highly visible. Allow about three to four hours to tour, more if you love arcades. Be sure to have a way to tell time—it’s easy to lose track of time! Also, it’s faster to use the stairs to go up or down one level. On the other hand, the elevators are less disorienting than the curving staircases. |
NOTES FOR DISNEYQUEST Best times to visit are none—it's now closed! But when it was open, it was best to visit during the mornings and afternoons and on the weekends. It got pretty busy in the evenings, after other parks are closed. Crowds were huge on foul-weather days. Stop by the tip board on floor 3 for wait times and notes. Discounted admissions were sometimes available in the evening. DisneyQuest is offered discounted admission for Florida residents and Annual Passholders who want to visit one more time before it closed! Florida resident admission was $33.75 per adult and $29.25 per child (ages 3-9), proof of residency required. Annual Passholders really got a fantastic deal - admission was $19.98 per person! (DisneyQuest opened in 1998.) |
