DisneyQuest on the West Side featured ride simulators, high-tech games, and hands-on activities, but it closed July 3, 2017 to make way for the The NBA Experience (a one-of-a-kind basketball-themed experience with activities, a restaurant, and a store). Demolition of DisneyQuest is currently underway to make room for the new NBA Experience, opening in Summer 2019. The complex, whose design is inspired by NBA venues around the country, will feature interactive games, shopping, and a restaurant. In addition to the restaurant and retail space which are open to the public, there will be exhibits, movies, and interactive games that require admission.
