BEST TIMES TO VISIT BLIZZARD BEACH

Thanks to the heated waters, you’ll be comfortable throughout the cooler months, and the sun is kinder. The crowds are thinner, but the days are shorter, and an overcast, rainy winter day can make life miserable. Note that the park may be closed on Fridays and Saturdays in the cooler months. Summer at Blizzard Beach brings huge crowds that arrive early in the day. If the park reaches capacity, the gates close to all. By mid-afternoon, the crowds have thinned, as those who are worst-wilted have packed it in. That’s a good time to arrive, refreshing yourself after a long morning at nearby Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Operating hours vary with the season, so check before you trek. Closed Oct.–Dec. 2017 for its annual rehab (Typhoon Lagoon will be open during that time).

GETTING TO BLIZZARD BEACH

By Bus—All resorts and Disney’s Animal Kingdom have direct buses to Blizzard Beach. From Disney’s Hollywood Studios, take the Coronado Springs bus. From Epcot, take the Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge bus. From the Magic Kingdom and Disney Springs, take a bus or monorail to a Disney resort and board a bus to Blizzard Beach. We recommend you take Disney transportation when you can, because the parking lot can fill up on busy days.
By Car—From westbound or eastbound I-4, take exit 65 (west on Osceola Parkway), exiting at Buena Vista Drive. Free parking.
