Kali River Rapids [F-2] |
|
Drift through jungle mists, unexpected geysers, and smoking devastation on a somewhat daring ride in a 12-person raft. The roaring rapids boast one thrilling (albeit tame) drop. Just when you think it’s all over, Disney tosses in one last little surprise. You will get wet—possibly damp, more likely soaked—and there’s no way to predict (or control) how much. A small storage area is available on board, but it won’t keep things very dry. Some guests wisely bring a poncho and a dry change of clothing—plastic ponchos are available for sale nearby. Shoes/ sandals must be worn at all times. Long lines are common, but they snake through fascinating Asian architecture rich with fine detail. 38”/97 cm height restriction. Special effects may be too intense for some children and adults. Health warning. Must transfer from wheelchair to ride. Allie’s KidTip: “If you go backward on the drop, be prepared to get soaked.” TweenTip: “It’s good when it’s really hot out!” Height restriction: 38" / 97 cm

Maharajah Jungle Trek [E-1] A-OK! |
|
Walk a winding path through ancient ruins in a lush Asian setting. Tigers, tapir, fruit bats, deer, antelope, a Komodo dragon, and a walk-through aviary filled with tropical birds highlight this beautifully designed zoo. Artfully hidden barriers make you feel like you can reach out and touch the animals, but fortunately for them (and us) you can’t. Cast members are on hand to enrich your animal-viewing adventure. We think the tigers, aviary, and bats are the highlights, but you’ll find your own favorites. Be sure to pick up a guidemap on your way in. Animal lovers may be tempted to spend hours here—bring your camera! Wheelchair accessible. Allie’s KidTip: “Tigers! How many can you find?” |

RE: Photo slice for Charting the Attractions at Asia (continued)
There is no longer storage on the Kali River rafts. They have been removed. There are free lockers nearby.
