Disney faithfully captures the spirit and architecture of Venice in this Italian piazza. Eateries, shops, jugglers, music, and entertainers in a Mediterranean garden set the scene at this pavilion. Look closely at the angel atop the 83-foot-tall bell tower—it is covered in real gold leaf. The tower itself is a replica of the Campanile in St. Mark’s Square, Venice. While there are no rides or movies at this pavilion, it’s still worth a visit. Allie’s KidTip: “Make a good wish at King Neptune’s fountain.” |

The American Adventure [D-1] A-OK! |

This all-American pavilion is halfway around the lagoon from Future World. Home to the American Adventure show, theater, art gallery, a hamburger joint, wonderful singers, and a shop. Allie’s KidTip: “See the fife and drum corps.” |

Ben Franklin and Mark Twain take you on a patriotic tour of U.S. history. A large cast of Audio-Animatronics characters includes Thomas Jefferson and Susan B. Anthony. Martin Luther King Jr. takes center stage in updated filmed segments. Famous events are recreated and famous Americans share their ideas. Don’t expect a critical view of history, however. The wide stage is easier to see if you don’t sit in the front. See Epcot Times Guide for shows. Indoor queue. “Voices of Liberty” may sing. Wheelchair accessible. Assistive listening. Reflective captioning. Allie’s KidTip: “Look on the walls for the statues.” Renovations to this attraction include an all-digital projection system, new screen, new speaker, and an updated finale that includes music composer John Williams, astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, and ballerina Misty Copeland. |

Live, musical entertainment is the hallmark of this outdoor theater on the edge of the lagoon. Check the Times Guide for show times—usually three half-hour shows daily. Seating is free, but the front rows may be reserved for “package” guests. Shows are visible from the promenade. Seating is on benches, with sycamore trees providing some shade. Wheelchair accessible. Allie’s KidTip: “Sit in the front because it’s covered and the back is just trees.” |
