The World Showcase makes Epcot the center for unusual shopping, too. A wide array of international gifts and crafts graces every pavilion, from British woolens and Japanese silks to German cut crystal and Moroccan leather. Here are our favorite shops:

NOTES FOR EPCOT

“Friendships” (boats) convey you to different points within World Showcase. You can usually get there faster if you walk, however.

Good viewing locations for IllumiNations go quickly. See page 168 for hints on getting the best possible view of the action.

After IllumiNations ends, step aside and wait for the crowds to thin. Take a leisurely stroll around the lagoon. Enjoy the music and the lights—you’ll have a nice, quiet walk with very few people around. About 30 minutes after the show, you might even get to witness a huge fireball as cast members burn off excess fuel from the fire barges. As a bonus, you’ll miss the traffic in the parking lot and bus queues.
