Making the Most of EpcotMaking the Most of Epcot |
TIPS FOR EPCOT If you arrive at Epcot via the monorail, you get a wonderful aerial view of Future World and a glimpse of World Showcase. Little ones adore the Kidcot Fun Stops at each World Showcase pavilion around the lagoon. Cast members offer kids various craft projects to color and decorate. Activities vary, sometimes giving kids something different to add to their creation at each country. Alexander loved it when he was younger. Kids also love the play fountains on the promenade between Future World and the World Showcase, and behind Innoventions East. Come prepared with suits under clothing and/or dry clothes and shoes. Looking for characters at Epcot? Check out the Epcot Character Spot in Future World West, near Innoventions West. |
Consider an Epcot guided tour, such as the Undiscovered Future World. See page 272. On your way out of the park in the evening, glance down at the path as you pass Innoventions—you’ll discover fiber-optic lights embedded in the pavement that make beautiful patterns. Epcot is the dining capital of the “World.” Nearly all the good stuff encircles the lagoon in an international dining extravaganza, offering everything from the upscale Monsieur Paul to tacos at Cantina de San Angel. Future World offers less table-service dining, but it has some counter-service opportunities. See page 234. Epcot’s main gate is at the north end of the park (the opposite of all the other parks), so east is to the right and west is to the left. |
