Astro Orbiter [F-4] A-OK! |
Go for a short, fast spin in a two-seat rocket high above Tomorrowland. Often mistaken for a futuristic sculpture, the fanciful planets of Astro Orbiter go into motion with each launch. Think “Dumbo” with small, silvery space ships. Pull back on the stick to “soar” high. Get a dizzying view as your ship whirls. Must ride an elevator to board. Motion sickness warning. Outdoor, covered queue. Adults must accompany kids under 7. Transfer from wheelchair to ride. Allie’s KidTip: “You can get a great view of the park.” TweenTip: “Faster than Dumbo and Aladdin.” |

Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin [F-4] |
All right, Space Rangers, it’s time to help Toy Story’s Buzz Lightyear defeat the evil Emperor Zurg! Buzz himself briefs new cadets before you’re sent into battle in a Day-Glo, comic book world of planets and space creatures. Your two-seat space vehicle (an “XP-37 Space Cruiser”) is equipped with a pair of “ion cannons” (laser pointers) mounted on the dashboard. Aim and shoot the electronic targets to accumulate points (aim for the higher targets for more points). Move the joystick to make your vehicle spin and home in on your targets. Compare your score at the end. Covered queue area is mostly indoors. Wheelchair accessible. Alex’s ToddlerTip: "It's fun to shoot targets." Allie’s KidTip: “Check your score. I made Space Cadet!” |

Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress [F-4] A-OK! |
See the march of modern technology through the eyes of an American family. Each of the four scenes in this Audio-Animatronics show highlights another 20 years (or so) of progress in the 20th century. When the scene changes, the entire theater moves around to the next stage. One of Walt Disney’s favorite attractions. (Jennifer loves it, too!) Limited hours. Outdoor, covered queue. Wheelchair accessible. Assistive listening devices. Closed captioning (pre-show only). Allie’s KidTip: “Rover is cute.” |
