Dumbo is better than
ever!

Every child wants to ride around, up, and down on Dumbo. Two-seater flying elephants take you for a short, fast spin. Show your child how to lift the control lever to rise higher. Grown-ups will enjoy the pachyderm’s-eye view. Dumbo has flown to a new location where a second ride system and innovative queue ease the long waits. Kids cavort in an indoor playground, parents sit in comfort, and the family is paged when it’s time to ride. Adults must ride with small children. Must transfer from wheelchair. Alex’s KidTip: “Use a fun flying style, like up and down! This is still one of my favorite rides!”

Explore Maurice’s cottage and whimsical workshop, then step through a magic mirror into Beast’s Castle. Madame Wardrobe is on hand to greet you, and to cast her guests for roles in a telling of the “tale as old as time.” Then, an animatronic Lumière invites all into the Library, to await Belle’s arrival and to watch or play their parts as she presents her famous story. The staging is similar to Storytime with Belle, which was formerly held in Fairytale Garden. Alex’s KidTip: “You can volunteer for parts!”

Journey to Ariel's Grotto for an opportunity to meet the Little Mermaid herself. Ariel greets you from upon her seashell throne in the grotto, which is built into the cliffs beside Under the Sea. The throne is extra wide, so guests may be invited to sit next to Ariel on her throne for a photo opportunity. This isn't much of an attraction, per se, but more of a guaranteed character meet and greet if you have a FastPass+ (recommended) or are willing to wait the 30-60 minutes. This attraction replaced the old Ariel's Grotto, which was a water playground in addition to a meet and greet.

Enter Prince Eric’s Castle and go under the sea to see Ariel and her friends. Board your two- to three-person Omnimover clamshell to be immersed in favorite scenes and music from the beloved film. Ariel, Eric, Sebastian, Scuttle, and evil Ursula are brought to Audio-Animatronic “life” using classic techniques and innovative lighting. The ride is identical to The Little Mermaid— Ariel’s Undersea Adventure at Disney California Adventure, though the interactive queue is unique. Some dark and scary moments. Wheelchair and ECV accessible, transfer from ECV to wheelchair. Hearing disability services. Alex’s KidTip: “Good ride for those who love Ariel (not me).”
