“Yo ho, yo ho!” The ride that inspired the movies is a slow, dark cruise through a subterranean world of Audio-Animatronics pirates (including Captain Jack Sparrow and Barbossa) and the townsfolk they plunder. Enjoy scene after riotous scene and fun special effects while riding in new boats. Captain Blackbeard and the Mermaids are the latest additions. Lines can be long, especially on hot days because you get to wait in a cool cellar. Take the left line—it’s shorter. You aren’t likely to get wet, but seats can be damp. The scene that depicts women on the auction block is being replaced with a new scene that shows townspeople lined up to surrender their valuables when the ride closes for routine maintenance in 2018. The "redhead" will remain, but will become a rifle-slingin' pirate. Transfer from ECV to wheelchair and transfer from wheelchair. Alex’s ToddlerTip: “Scary! Walk through the home of the shipwrecked family from the Disney classic “Swiss Family Robinson.” The branches of the huge (and very fake) banyan tree, known as “Disneyodendron eximus,” cradle the family’s heirlooms and contraptions. The treehouse has multiple levels that you need to climb. Thus, this attraction is not wheelchair or stroller accessible, and it can be tiring for some. The line of guests winds through slowly.
