Each of these hotels is located on Disney property across from Disney Springs, but are independently owned and operated. A variety of discounts may be available. Some of the Disney resort hotel benefits mentioned earlier in this chapter do not apply (such as Extra Magic Hour and package delivery, even at the Hilton). BV Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace Hotel & Spa | $299+ | 1983 | 2007 | ||
This high-rise hotel with 1,014 luxury guest rooms and suites is the largest of the hotels on Hotel Plaza Boulevard, as well as the closest hotel to Disney Springs Marketplace. All rooms feature balconies or patios, two double beds or one king bed, flat screen TV, Herman Miller chair, cordless phone, coffeemaker, in-room safe, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, newspaper delivery, and toiletries. Wireless Internet access, WebTV, Sony PlayStation games, and premium movies are available for an additional fee. Resort amenities include three heated pools, whirlpool spa, tennis and sand volleyball courts, full-service European-style spa with fitness center and beauty salon, arcade, three restaurants (one with character breakfasts every Sunday), a cafe, two lounges, a pool bar, and room service. This all-suite hotel offers 229 one- and two-bedroom suites. All rooms come with dining areas, kitchenettes (sink, refrigerator, microwave, and coffeemaker), separate living rooms with sofa beds, double-size or king-size Sweet Dream beds, three TVs, two phones, in-room safe, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and toiletries (no balconies). Suites accommodate up to six people (up to four adults). Amenities include a heated pool, wading pool, fitness center, arcade, one restaurant, one lounge, one pool bar, and room service. Look for the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies upon your arrival. |
HO Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista | $99+ | 1984 | 2008 | ||
This first-class business hotel is located right across the street from the Downtown Springs Marketplace. The 814 rooms are luxurious, each offering “Serenity” beds (two doubles or one king), overstuffed chair, flat screen TV, MP3 clock radios, two phones, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, coffeemaker, mini-bar, newspapers, Internet access ($9.95/day), and toiletries (no balconies or in-room safes). Amenities include two heated pools, kids' water play area, two whirlpool spas, fitness center, arcade, shopping area, three eateries (one with character meals every Sunday), two cafes, and one lounge, one pool bar, and room service. The Hilton no longer offers the Extra Magic Hour perk (see page 34). |
HI Holiday Inn | $109+ | 1978 | 2010 | ||
With 323 standard rooms and one suite, this renovated 14-story hotel offers clean, basic accommodations. Standard rooms come with two double beds or one king bed, balconies, satellite TV, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, coffeemaker, in-room safe, newspaper delivery, toiletries, and high-speed Internet. Additional amenities include Nintendo games (extra fee), two heated pools, wading pool, whirlpool spa, fitness center, arcade, one restaurant, one cafe, and room service. |
