Disney's Yacht and Beach Club & Villas ResortsDisney's Yacht and Beach Club & Villas Resorts |
Offering luxury, convenience, and added amenities, the Yacht Club and Beach Club are sister resorts. Both resorts feature a relaxing atmosphere on Crescent Lake within walking distance of Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. |
AMBIENCE AT DISNEY'S YACHT AND BEACH CLUB RESORTS These resorts evoke the charm of bygone seaside resorts. The Yacht Club is housed in a dove-gray clapboard building, exuding elegance and grace. The Beach Club atmosphere is casual, bringing to mind sun-filled days you might have found along the eastern seaboard generations ago. Windows in the sky-blue building may gaze out upon the “beach houses” nestled alongside the beach. The Beach Club Villas are housed in a separate building evoking the charm of Cape May, New Jersey. The Villas’ clapboard walls are painted in seafoam green with white railings and columns, and gingerbread trim. Colorful pennants flap in the breeze from atop the roofs and turrets, and strings of light bulbs dangle gracefully between old-fashioned street lamps. |
RESORT LAYOUT AT DISNEY'S YACHT AND BEACH CLUB RESORT Each of the standard rooms at the Yacht and Beach Club is housed within five floors of one deceptively large yet creatively shaped building, while the villas are located within a free-standing addition. Covered walkways connect the Villas to the Beach Club lobby. Well-appointed and understated, the standard rooms are large (380 sq. ft.) and sunny. The 634 Yacht Club rooms were recently renovated with wood floors, nautical furniture, and clean lines. The 580 Beach Club rooms are recently renovated and playfully decorated. Guest rooms have one king or two queen beds, a daybed, ottoman, double sinks, a make-up mirror, a small table/desk and chairs, an armoire with a TV, and a small refrigerator. Some smaller rooms have a king-size Murphy bed and an extra sink and counter. Many rooms—but not all—have balconies or patios (all Yacht Club guest rooms have balconies). Amenities include room service, hair dryers (most rooms), iron and ironing board, newspaper delivery, turndown service (on request—not available in the Villas), in-room safe, toiletries, and voice mail. Both the Yacht Club and the Beach Club offer concierge service with slightly larger rooms on the fifth floor. In addition, 40 special suites (20 in each resort) range in size from a junior suite to a two-bedroom suite to the ultimate Presidential Suite. Note that about 80% of the Yacht Club rooms have showers only (no baths). |
