LOUNGING AT DISNEY'S WILDERNESS LODGE RESORT Territory Lounge, a saloon adjacent to Artist Point, serves up beers, wines, spirits, and snacks. Geyser Point Bar & Grill is now open for quick service dining as well as drinks with small plates in the lounge. Beer and wine are also available from the resort shop. |
PLAYING & RELAXING AT DISNEY'S WILDERNESS LODGE RESORT For Athletes: Rent watercraft and bicycles at Teton Boat & Bike Rentals. A bike and jogging path extends about a mile to Fort Wilderness. A health club, Sturdy Branches, is available. For Children: The Cub’s Den is a supervised program for kids ages 4–12 (see page 285). A playground is located near the beach. For Gamers: Try your luck at Buttons and Bells arcade, across from Cub’s Den. For Shoppers: Wilderness Lodge Mercantile in the Lodge carries clothing, sundries, foodstuffs, newspapers, and gifts. For Charmers: The "Salon by the Springs" near the main pool offers hair services as well as manicures and pedicures. For Swimmers: Cleverly designed to seem like part of Silver Creek, a free-form swimming pool is nestled among craggy rocks and waterfalls. A water slide and wading pool, as well as two hot tubs, are also available nearby. The leisure pool and hot tub near the Villas are being expanded and enhanced, and will re-open in mid-2017 as Boulder Ridge Cove. |
GETTING AROUND FROM DISNEY'S WILDERNESS LODGE RESORT You can take a direct boat or bus to the Magic Kingdom (see chart below for in-transit times). Boats also ferry you to Fort Wilderness and the Contemporary. Buses take you directly to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney Springs, and the water parks. To reach other resorts, go to the Magic Kingdom (daytime) or Disney Springs (evening), and then transfer to a resort bus. Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge share many of their bus routes, so travel to and from Fort Wilderness for the Hoop-Dee-Doo show (see page 264), horseback riding, etc., is quite convenient.
Approximate time you will spend in transit from resort to destination during normal operation. |
