RESORT ROOMS AT DISNEY'S PORT ORLEANS RESORT Rooms are 314 sq. ft. in size and decorated in three styles. In the French Quarter, you find faux French Provincial furniture, gilt-framed mirrors, and Venetian blinds. Over in Riverside’s Magnolia Bend, antebellum rooms delight with cherry furniture and brocade settees. Riverside’s Alligator Bayou rooms sport beds made of hewn “logs” and patchwork quilts. All rooms accommodate up to four and come with either two queen beds or one king bed (king bed rooms are located on building corners); 963 Alligator Bayou rooms house up to five guests by offering a complimentary Murphy bed in rooms with queen beds (Murphy beds pull down above the chest of drawers and fit a child or small adult). Rooms include a TV, armoire, table and chairs, ceiling fan, and a separate vanity area with double pedestal sinks and privacy curtain. Every room has a window (corner rooms have two), but none have private balconies. Amenities include toiletries (soap and shampoo only), hair dryers, coffeemakers, housekeeping, limited room service, in-room safe (most rooms), refrigerator, and voice mail. |
DINING & LOUNGING AT DISNEY'S PORT ORLEANS RESORT Port Orleans plays host to Boatwright’s Dining Hall. This table-service restaurant in the Riverside district offers dinner only—see page 258. Two large food courts—Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory in the French Quarter and the Riverside Mill at Riverside—offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Typical menu items are beignets ($4.99), French toast ($5.59), cheesecake ($4.49), Cajun chicken sandwich ($9.49), create-your-own pasta ($11.99), and kids’ corn dog nuggets ($5.99). Purchase a mug for $17.99 and get refills. The French Quarter’s Scat Cat’s Club is a full-service bar with live music on the weekends, while Mardi Grogs pool bar has drinks and snacks. In Riverside, the River Roost offers specialty drinks, appetizers, and music in the evenings, and Muddy Rivers Pool Bar has drinks and snacks. Limited room service. |
