TIPS FOR DISNEY'S POLYNESIAN VILLAGE RESORT The Polynesian Village underwent massive renovations to its facilities, as well as adding Disney Vacation Club bungalows. The pool received a major upgrade (new hot tub!), as did the Great Ceremonial House—both completed in 2015. The resort now has 20 unique bungalows in Bora Bora around the shores of the resort—these are two-bedroom villas and sleep 8 guests. Each bungalow has a large deck with a plunge pool and views of the Magic Kingdom. The bungalows come at a hefty price tag, however— see the rack rates on page 80. In addition to these bungalows, connecting studios (465 sq. ft.) were built in the Moorea, Pago Pago, and Tokelau longhouses. Note that there are no “regular” one-bedroom or two-bedroom villas at this Disney Vacation Club property. The Electrical Water Pageant passes right by the Polynesian Village around 9:00 pm. If you don’t have a water-view room, take a stroll down to the beach or to the end of the dock near the marina. |
NOTES FOR DISNEY'S POLYNESIAN VILLAGE RESORT Families love the Polynesian Village and it may get a bit noisy in the pool areas (near Samoa, Niue, Hawaii, Rarotonga, and Tokelau). Walk to the Transportation and Ticket Center for the Epcot monorail. The monorail around the lagoon adds 20 minutes otherwise. The Polynesian Village sometimes shares bus routes with the Contemporary and Grand Floridian resorts, picking up/dropping off guests at the Contemporary first and Grand Floridian last. Daily activities are available for kids of all ages, such as coconut races, torch lightings, and hula lessons. Inquire at Lobby Concierge. Check-in time is 3:00 pm. Check-out time is 11:00 am. |
RATINGS FOR DISNEY'S POLYNESIAN VILLAGE RESORT Ratings are explained on page 28.
