PLAYING & RELAXING AT DISNEY'S POLYNESIAN VILLAGE RESORT For Athletes: Boaters rent Sea Raycers and sailboats at the marina. Joggers enjoy the Walk Around the World that partially encircles the Seven Seas Lagoon, and a 1.5-mile path winds through the resort. For Charmers: The Senses Spa is nearby, alongside the path to the Grand Floridian (see page 215). For Children: Lilo’s Clubhouse is a childcare club (see page 285). A playground is near the main pool. For Gamers: The arcade closed in 2014. For Shoppers: On the first floor, BouTiki has Polynesian-themed gifts and clothing. The second floor houses Moana Mercantile (souvenirs and sundries) and Samoa Snacks. For Show-Goers: Tucked in the back of the resort is Luau Cove, home to Polynesian-style dinner shows. More details on page 265. For Swimmers: The renovated Lava Pool features a large pool, a water slide, and a zero-entry section (pool wheelchair available). There is also a new kids’ water play area, a sunbathing beach, and a new hot tub. Swimming and wading are absolutely not allowed in the lagoon. |
GETTING AROUND FROM DISNEY'S POLYNESIAN VILLAGE RESORT A monorail shuttles you to the Magic Kingdom (see chart below for in-transit times), the Grand Floridian, and the Contemporary, as well as the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC). A boat also goes to the Magic Kingdom. To reach Epcot, walk to TTC and board the monorail. To reach other parks and Disney Springs, take direct buses (see map on page 80 for the bus stop). To reach most resorts, take a monorail to the Magic Kingdom and transfer to a resort bus (daytime), or bus to Disney Springs and transfer to a resort bus (evening).
Approximate time you will spend in transit from resort to destination during normal operation. |

RE: Getting Around from Disney's Polynesian Village Resort
The posted approx. times for going to Epcot could be confusing for some. Maybe better to put "walk to monorail 10 +monorail 10. Or something similar. For those not familiar they might be confused about the walking part since they don't realize it means walk to the TTC.
