In need of ground transportation between the Orlando International Airport and your Disney-owned resort? Disney’s Magical Express provides free shuttle bus service from and to the airport, as well as luggage handling. If your reservation agent doesn’t mention it, be sure to ask. If you forget, the service can be added to your reservation at least one day before your scheduled arrival, or you can even check in at the Disney’s Magical Express desk at the Orlando Airport with a copy of your Disney room reservation. See page 21 for the full details on Disney’s Magical Express. You may be able to hold more than one reservation for the same date, but eventually you have to put down a deposit or lose the reservation. Typically, Disney resort reservations are held three days without confirmation as a courtesy, but only if you have at least 45 days until your stay. Deposit and cancellation policies do differ between packages and room-only reservations. Room-only reservations have a more liberal deposit policy— the cost of one night’s lodging is all that’s required (due in 3 days), with a no-penalty cancellation possible up to six days prior. With less than six days’ notice, you forfeit the full one-night deposit. Packages require a deposit of $200, also due in 3 days, and full payment for your vacation is due 30 days in advance. Package reservations made online can be canceled without a penalty at least 31 days before your arrival, or incur a $100 charge if made between 6 and 31 days prior, $200 for cancellations made less than 6 days prior, or full price for cancellations 1 day or less. There’s a $50 charge for modifying package reservations within 46 days of your arrival, unless your change increases your package price. Be sure to pay your deposit by 10:00 pm ET on your due date, or your reservation will be canceled. Your deposit can be made over the phone with American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, JCB, Diner’s Club, through mail or fax with the same credit cards or a personal check, or online in most cases. The Lodging Worksheet has spaces to check off confirmations and deposits made, too! Tip: You may be able to request an extension on your deposit if needed—inquire with Disney. Once you’ve made your reservations, record the details in PassPorter's Trip Planner Tools online or in your Lodging Worksheet, including the name of the resort, dates, type of room, price, reservation number, and any special information you want to note. This is also an ideal place to note any special requests you want to check on at check-in. |
