TIPS FOR DISNEY'S OLD KEY WEST RESORT

Some one-bedroom homes have a slight variation that can make a big difference if your party is large: There is a second door to the bathroom through the laundry room (see layout on page 73) that avoids the master bedroom. If this is important, request buildings 30 or higher at reservation and again at check-in.

Buildings 62–64 are the newest—they opened in early 2000. These are also the only buildings that have elevators.

Renovations to this resort brought a sleeper chair to all one-bedroom villas, bumping capacity up to five guests in those villas.

The three-bedroom Grand Villas are luxurious (and expensive). They are two-storied with private baths for each bedroom plus an extra bath for guests using the sleeper sofa. They have all the amenities of the other vacation homes, plus a 32” television and a stereo. They’re very popular with families, so reserve as early as possible.

NOTES FOR DISNEY'S OLD KEY WEST RESORT

The Sandcastle Pool at Disney’s Old Key West Resort will be closed for refurbishment from January through February 24, 2017. The pools at Old Turtle Pond, South Point, and Miller’s Road will remain available for your enjoyment.

Hank’s Rent ‘N Return offers more than just bikes and boats. You can rent videos, board games, balls, and more. There are often daily activities and games—inquire when checking in.

If you stay in a studio, you won’t have a washer and dryer in your room, but there are air-conditioned laundry rooms available near the pools at no extra charge. You can buy soap and bleach, too.

Check-in time is 4:00 pm. Check-out time is 11:00 am.
