DINING & LOUNGING AT DISNEY'S OLD KEY WEST RESORT Olivia’s Cafe (see page 258) is the kind of casual, small-town place loved by locals. Good’s Food to Go over by the main pool serves up breakfasts, burgers, and snacks —typical menu items include a tuna sandwich ($7.49) and a child’s meal ($5.99–$6.49). Rapid Fill mugs are available for $17.99. Also by the main pool, the Gurgling Suitcase has drinks and appetizers like conch fritters ($11.49) and grouper bites ($14.99). Turtle Shack by the Turtle Pond Road pool offers snacks seasonally. Pizza delivery is also available. |
PLAYING & RELAXING AT DISNEY'S OLD KEY WEST RESORT For Athletes: Tennis, basketball, shuffleboard, and volleyball courts are available. Rent boats and bikes at Hank’s Rent ‘N Return. Golf at the nearby course, or try the walking/jogging path. A health club has Nautilus equipment, plus a sauna and massages (extra fee). For Children: The Conch Flats Community Hall offers games and organized events for kids. Playgrounds are near some of the pools. For Gamers: The two arcades—Electric Eel Arcade and The Flying Fisherman—have plenty of video games to keep the kids happy. For Shoppers: The Conch Flats General Store offers general and Disney merchandise, plus groceries and sundries. For Swimmers: Three leisure pools and a large themed pool with a water slide, hot tub, sauna, and sandy play area round out the “R.E.S.T. Beach Recreation Department.” A children’s wading pool is near the main pool. |
GETTING AROUND FROM DISNEY'S OLD KEY WEST RESORT Direct buses to the four major parks and Disney Springs (see chart below for in-transit times) stop at the resort’s five bus stops. A boat from the marina also travels to Saratoga Springs and the Marketplace at Disney Springs between 11:00 am and 11:00 pm— check the schedule. To get around the resort, hop on a bus, as they always stop at the Hospitality House before heading out. You can also take a (long) walk to Disney Springs via a footpath.
Approximate time you will spend in transit from resort to destination during normal operation. |
