Disney's Old Key West ResortDisney's Old Key West Resort |
Old Key West Resort caters primarily (but not exclusively) to Disney Vacation Club members. Old Key West is located roughly between Disney Springs and Epcot. |
AMBIENCE AT DISNEY'S OLD KEY WEST RESORT If Disney’s Grand Floridian and BoardWalk set the pace for elegant turn-of-the-century seaside resorts, this is the dressed-down, laid-back antidote. Lush vegetation and low, white clapboard buildings with sky-blue eaves evoke authentic Key West style, and the public areas of the resort exude small-town intimacy. The quaint waterside shop, restaurant, and bar are connected by wooden walkways, and the Conch Flats Community Hall offers homey choices like table tennis and board games. The atmosphere is lively, friendly, and not at all hectic. Accommodations are spacious, comfy, and attractive. |
RESORT LAYOUT AT DISNEY'S OLD KEY WEST RESORT Intimate is not necessarily small. Old Key West is big enough to get lost in. (We speak from experience!) The resort’s 761 guest “homes” range from studios (390 sq. ft.) with kitchenettes that sleep 4 adults, to spacious one-bedrooms (942 sq. ft.) with full kitchens that sleep 5 adults, two-bedrooms (1,395 sq. ft.) also with full kitchens that sleep 8 adults, and the incredible three-bedroom/four-bath Grand Villas (2,375 sq. ft.) that sleep up to 12. All have a private patio or balcony perfect for breakfast, and all but the studios include a master suite with a large two-person whirlpool tub; a sprawling great room with full kitchen, dining area, and queen-size sleeper sofa; and washer and dryer. Villas sport views of the golf course, waterways, or woods. Amenities in all rooms include a TV, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, free high-speed Internet, and voice mail. One-bedroom and larger villas boast a fully equipped kitchen, big-screen TV, DVD player, and in-room safe. These “homes” are excellent for groups who wish to stay together. |
