The Art of Animation Resort focuses on value-priced accommodations for families of up to 6 in a suite. Disney’s Art of Animation is right across from Disney’s Pop Century Resort in the Epcot area on the northeast corner of Osceola Parkway and Victory Way. This resort opened at Walt Disney World in May 2012. |
AMBIENCE AT DISNEY'S ART OF ANIMATION RESORT Staying at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort may be a bit like stepping onto the screen of your favorite Disney animated movies. Not unlike the All-Star and Pop Century resorts, the decor here is larger than life and vibrantly colored, reflecting the animated movies we all love. The resort features themed rooms and areas from four animated films: Finding Nemo, Cars, The Lion King, and The Little Mermaid. Look for Simba and friends on the African savannah, King Triton and Sebastian under the sea, Tow Mater and the Cozy Cone Motel, and Nemo and Marlin in their ocean home. The theme continues in the pools, play fountains, playgrounds, and food court! |
ROOMS & LAYOUT AT DISNEY'S ART OF ANIMATION RESORT Disney’s Art of Animation Resort features 1,984 guest rooms and family suites. All rooms at this resort are themed after one of Disney’s blockbuster animations—family suites are decorated in the style of The Lion King, Finding Nemo, and Cars; standard guest rooms have a Little Mermaid theme. The family suites feature a master bedroom with a queen bed, a living room with a double-size sleeper sofa and a double-size Inova “TableBed” (a table that converts into a bed), two TVs, two full bathrooms (one with a shower, one with a tub), and a mini kitchen with small refrigerator, microwave, and coffeemaker. Standard guest rooms have either two double beds or one king bed, a TV, a small table with two chairs, a small refrigerator, and drawers. Rooms with king-size beds are also the barrier-free rooms; thus, some of these rooms have only showers (no tubs). Rooms are small—260 sq. feet for the standard guest rooms and about 525 sq. feet for family suites. There are no private balconies or patios, but each room has individual climate controls. |
