Use these tips and stories to make planning your vacation fun:

If you have reliable access to the Internet, make it a point to get online once a week for the latest news. We have many trip reports from fellow vacationers posted on our message boards at PassPorterBoards.com. MousePlanet also offers trip reports at MousePlanet.com.

“My kids love to measure their height in between our trips to Walt Disney World. It’s always exciting when they reach a new height that includes new rides! We will pick up an ‘I’m Celebrating’ button that says ‘I’m Celebrating 44 inches!’ to celebrate the new milestone.”

“Update your PassPorter! I came onto the site and I noticed that there was a link to update to my PassPorter that was so very important in my planning of my perfect trip. Now I have it written down in my calendar to check again about a week before I leave in order to make sure that I don’t have any unpleasant surprises or that I don’t miss out on something wonderful! Updates are on the What's New page.”

“Before we go to Walt Disney World, I create a 'playlist' on YouTube of rides/ attractions that we plan to do/see. We sync our TV to our YouTube account, and the children spend tons of time watching videos. This is a great time to build anticipation and set expectations! (Tip: Preview the videos first, as some are far too extensive for young children, as they include long views of queues. I usually choose videos that are during the day and show rides only.)”

“Planning a small or big group trip?  Create a Private Facebook group. This way you can inform everyone at one time without texts or phone calls. You can send reminders 180 days prior for dining reservations as well as 60-day FastPass alerts. And you can share last-minute plans without everyone logging on to their My Disney Experience!”

Magical Memory

“My sister has had a very hard life and she doesn’t often experience the fun things. So I saved up the money to take her to Walt Disney World, with some help from an understanding husband. I remember the moment when we stepped onto Main Street, U.S.A. for our first time ever and she stopped and just stood looking at Cinderella Castle. She turned to me with tears in her eyes and said, ‘Thank you for giving me this moment.’ It made all those weeks of saving every penny I could worth it all to see the look on her face. That was a magical moment for me.”
