Take a backstage tour of Disney's legendary New Amsterdam Theatre in the afternoon, then head to the Minskoff Theater for a performance of Disney's The Lion King that evening. You'll tour the landmark theater, visit the prop studio to view original props and costumes, and learn more about Disney's theatrical productions. Afterwards, walk three blocks to the Minskoff Theater to pick up your Lion King tickets at the will-call window, enjoy some free time to explore Time Square, and grab a pre-theater dinner. Return to the Minskoff and be ushered to your orchestra-level seats for Disney's classic Broadway production of The Lion King (Simba and friends were evicted from The New Amsterdam Theatre to make way for Prince Ali). Must be booked at least 15 days prior to your cruise sail date; locate the Port Adventure description at http://disneycruise.com, download and fill-out the request form, and email the form to dcl.shore.excursions@disney.com. Available only for selected dates. Wheelchair accessible, no ECVs. All ages welcome, recommended for ages 6 and up.

If the Broadway-style shows on the Disney Magic aren't enough for you, how about seeing Disney's The Lion King on Broadway either before or after that cruise? You'll have orchestra-level seating for the award-winning musical inspired by Disney's animated classic. Performances are now held at the Minskoff Theater, 200 W. 45th St., just off Times Square (Simba and friends were evicted from The New Amsterdam Theatre to make way for Prince Ali... that is, Aladdin). Your tickets will be held at the theater's will-call window—visit earlier in the day to avoid the curtain-time crush. You'll pay roughly list price, but the chances of finding discounted tickets for Disney productions are just about as bad as getting meaningful discounts on Disney cruises or theme park tickets (and you will save $10 on tickets for your younger children). (On your own: If you'd prefer cheaper mezzanine seats or want to select your seats, http://www.lionking.com/tickets)
