Spa Treatments are given in one of 12/17 private treatment rooms or in the private “spa villas.” A variety of treatments are available at prices ranging from $26 to $288. We’ve underlined the spa treatments we’ve tried and would do again! A menu of treatments is available in the spa, but here’s a sneak peek: Spa Taster (massage and facial for $109/50 min. total or $242 for couples massage); Aroma Seaweed Massage ($188/75 min.); Ionithermie Super-Detox ($188/120 min.); Aroma Stone Massage ($188/75 min.); Elemis Oxydermy Facial ($169); Elemis Pro Collagen Facial ($145/50 min.); Elemis Absolut Spa Ritual ($249/100 min.); Lime & Ginger Salt Glow with half-body massage ($151); Go-Smile Teeth Whitening ($149/30 min.); and Cabana Massage at Castaway Cay (see page 214). Let’s not forget the Rainforest Room, the Couples Rasul Ritual, and the Spa Villas—read on for more details!

Jennifer’s mother relaxes in a heated lounge
chair in the Rainforest Room

Rainforest Room—An innovative, relaxing “thermal suite” with a dry sauna, a chamomile-essence sauna, a eucalyptus steam room, and special showers that spray water overhead and on the sides. The main room has four/10 heated, tiled loungers (see photo)—loll about on one then cool off in a fog shower. Jennifer loves this! The lounger area on the Dream Class has big picture windows and two hot tubs right outside. The Rainforest Room is open from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. It’s very popular and can host upwards of two dozen people—coed—at any one time. Quietest times are on the first day of the cruise and on port days. On busy days, the wait for a tiled lounger can be frustrating. Swimsuits are required. Cost is $27/day with an included scrub+sponge (not available on all cruises). You may be able to pre-purchase passes for about $18/day online. Length-of-cruise passes are $69-$145. Rainforest day passes can be hard to get onboard—buy in advance at http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/gifts-and-amenities, but note that an 18% gratuity is automatically applied.

Couples Rasul Ritual (Magic Class)—This unique treatment is inspired by Ottoman cleansing rituals. You are escorted to a tile-lined suite with a sitting area, steam room, and shower. Exfoliating mud is in a small bowl—smear the mud on yourself or on each other and relax in the steam room to absorb the minerals and trace elements. Afterward, shower off and apply lotions and scrubs. This is very popular with couples. We loved it ourselves! Be warned that it does get very hot. Bring some bottled water. Cost is $89 for 50 minutes.

Relaxation Room (Dream Class)—Wind down before your treatment in this very restful space, with cushy loungers, dim lighting, and complimentary tea service.

Juice Bar (Dream Class)—This sunny spot for healthful beverages is adjacent to the salon and fitness room. Debuted in May 2017 on the Disney Fantasy.

Chill Spa for teens (all ships)—A mini-spa with two treatment rooms is tucked inside Senses Spa, and it’s just for teens ages 13-17! Treatments run the gamut; massages ($89 solo, $195 mother and daughter or father and son), Exfoliating Surfers Scrub ($65), facials ($94), manicures and pedicures ($29-$65), and hair styling ($32-$107). Parents must accompany teens when making reservations, and sign a release form.

Tip: Walk (or jog) all around the perimeter of deck 4—the “promenade” deck. One lap around deck 4 is 0.33/0.4 miles (535/644 m.); 3/2.5 laps is one mile (1.6 km). Note that the jogging direction is counter-clockwise to avoid collisions. Want to walk with others? Check your Personal Navigator for instructor-led “Walk a Mile” morning sessions.
