Room Service

There are no three words that say “luxury” more than “Hello, Room Service!” It’s a sinful extravagance for the filthy rich and people too pooped or love-struck to creep from their rooms. But why feel guilty, when the cost of room service is included in the price of your cruise? You want real luxury? Keep your stateroom stocked with oversized chocolate chip cookies, fruit, and cheese from room service throughout your cruise!

Room service is available 24 hours/day (though it’s closed the morning of disembarkation for most guests, and during the safety drill). Service is quick and punctual—food usually arrives in 20 to 30 minutes. You’ll find room service menus in your stateroom (they’re in the book, usually left on or in the desk area), and we’ve included sample menus at the bottom of this page—please note that menu items and beverage prices may change. Food and basic drinks (coffee, tea, milk, juice) are free, but all other beverages carry an extra charge.

To place an order for room service, simply press the dining button on your stateroom phone and relay the items you want. To place a breakfast order you can fill out the breakfast menu card in the evening and hang it on your door handle. You can phone in any order in advance and specify a time for delivery—your cookies and milk can magically arrive right after you return from the evening deck party. Coffee drinkers may find it convenient to order a pot of coffee before going to bed and request to have it delivered at a particular time in the morning (its arrival works as a wake-up call). Don’t forget to tip your room service steward on delivery. They don’t get automatic tips for the food, just the drinks. $1–$2/person is fine.

Tip: Guests going on all-day excursions have been known to order a couple of sandwiches, have them delivered before departing, keep them cool in the refrigerator, and pack them in resealable bags for a midday snack. Be aware that the Disney Cruise Line does not encourage this, it may be illegal to bring food ashore in some ports, and you are not allowed to bring cooked/opened food back onboard. We do not recommend it.

KidTip: “Ask your grown-ups for chocolate chip cookies before bed... they’re awesome!”

Breakfast Menu (7:00 am to 10:00 am) Note: Guests in suites may order full breakfasts (see page 132). Juices (orange, apple, grapefruit); cold cereal, served with whole or skim milk (Corn Flakes, Raisin Bran, Rice Krispies, Froot Loops, KO’s, Frosted Flakes, low-fat granola); breads and pastries (Danish pastries, fruit and bran muffins, croissants, donuts, toast, English muffins, bagel); condiments (selection of jams and honey, butter, margarine); beverages (whole milk, skim milk, chocolate milk, 100% Colombian coffee, 100% Colombian decaffeinated coffee, selection of teas); cocktails–$4.25 (Mimosa, Screwdriver, Bloody Mary).

All-Day Menu Note: Guests in the Royal suites may order from the dining room menus (see page 132). Appetizers (chicken Caesar salad, Greek salad, mixed green salad, grilled salmon salad, creamy tomato soup, chicken noodle soup, All Hands on Deck—a special selection of international cheeses served with crackers, and fresh fruit bowl); Sandwiches (BLT, tomato and mozzarella panini, New York steak panini, grilled cheddar cheese); All-American Fare (cheeseburger with fries and cole slaw, crispy chicken tenders, grilled hot dog, baked macaroni & cheese, buffalo chicken wings); Pizzas (four cheese, margherita, pepperoni); Desserts (daily cake, key lime pie, extra large chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies, Mickey Bars); Snacks (extra cost) M&M's, salted peanuts, buttered popcorn, salted cashews; Beverage Packages (6 domestic beers for $18.75, 6 imported beers for $22.50, 3 imported and 3 domestic beers for $21, 6 Coca Cola or other sodas or 6 bottled waters for $9.00. 24 bottled waters for $35).
