One of the benefits of a Disney cruise is the opportunity to meet your favorite Disney characters—you won’t find them on any other cruise in the world. Typically, the Disney celebrities joining you on your cruise include Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Donald, Chip, Dale, and Stitch (often in tropical attire) as well as appearances from special “face” characters like Cinderella, Snow White, and Alice. Here’s where to meet your Disney friends onboard:

Character Appearances—The Lobby Atrium (both decks 3 and 4) is a popular gathering place for Disney friends, typically in the evenings for photo opportunities. If you forget your camera, there are often ship’s photographers to snap a shot. You’ll also find characters in the terminal before you board, at deck parties, the kids’ clubs, and near the Mickey Pool. For schedules, check your Personal Navigator, Navigator app, the character appearance display in the Lobby Atrium (or outside Shutters), or call 7-PALS on your stateroom phone.   Tickets are available for some of these events—check your Personal Navigator or Navigator app on the first day of your cruise for details, or book up to two events pre-cruise at https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/my-disney-cruise/reservations/.

Character Autographs: Bring a notebook or autograph book to the character meets—you can buy them in Mickey’s Mainsail/Mickey’s Mates, or just make one at home before you board. Take a photo of the Disney character autographing the book and you can later attach a copy of the picture to each autographed page—this makes a great keepsake!

Character Breakfasts—Guests on seven-night and longer cruises with at least two at-sea days have the opportunity to mingle with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale at a character breakfast! For more details, see page 168.

Royal Court Royal Tea (all ships)—Your ship's grandest dining room is the site for this regal, extra-cost event for children ages 3-12 and their parents. Teatime treats include savory tea sandwiches, pastries, and a Royal Tea cupcake, accompanied by herbal teas. Special characters Lady Chamomile and Chef Brule are on hand to entertain and lead group activities, then Disney Princesses arrive for an exclusive meet-and-greet. The children leave with autographs, memories, and a gender-specific assortment of gifts—a jewelry box, link bracelet and necklace with charms, My Disney Girl doll, pen and autograph, tiara, and French rose for the girls, or a backpack, sword and shield, pin, and Duffy the Disney Bear for the boys. The cost is $210 per child, $69 for the accompanying adults (adults must be accompanied by a child, and vice versa), and must be reserved pre-cruise at https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/my-disney-cruise/reservations/

Character Parties—In addition to the Disney character appearances at the deck parties, there is another special character party for which to check your Personal Navigator. ‘Til We Meet Again is a farewell party in the Lobby Atrium held on your last evening (usually at 10:00 or 10:15 pm)—most of the characters come out to bid everyone a special goodbye.

Enchanted Art/Mickey’s Midship Detective Agency—High technology on the Disney Dream and Fantasy brings Disney character artwork to life in the public areas! You can also spot characters in the “virtual porthole” of an inside stateroom (see page 148).
