Embarking on Shore Excursions in BarcelonaEmbarking on Shore Excursions in Barcelona |
As Barcelona is a home port, there are just 4 excursions offered by Disney Cruise Line, all post-cruise, all providing ground transfers along with the sightseeing. All can only be booked once you are onboard your cruise.

Montserrat Half Day, End at Airport - Debarkation Day [BC09A] |
|
Perched on a mountain eyrie north of Barcelona is the Monastery of Santa Maria de Montserrat, one of the area's premiere tourist destinations (and you thought monks were trying to get away from it all)! Though best known for "The Black Madonna" statue and the steep funicular railway you'll ride to the top, we were more impressed with the shrine in which the statue is housed and the remarkable scenery. Hikers can stretch their legs, but you can also enjoy the broad plazas, viewpoints, and even the cafeteria (you get a voucher for a free beverage). We snacked on yogurt and local honey - yum! You'll board the bus when you debark the cruise, and be delivered to the airport at tour's end. Modest dress required in church. No wheelchairs or ECVs, folding strollers OK. Your flight must depart after 4:30 pm (domestic) or 5:30 pm (international). Can only be booked once on board your cruise. |

Panoramic Drive Through Barcelona, End at Airport - Debarkation Day [BC16A] |
|
If you didn't tour Barcelona prior to your cruise, catch a glimpse of what you missed on the way to the airport. You'll pass by many major sights, and stop to stretch your legs at two. From the pier you'll head for nearby Montjuic for a majestic view-stop overlooking the city and then pass by Poble Espanyol and the site of the 1929 Olympics. Then you'll head back downhill and on to your second stop, Sagrada Familia Cathedral. You won't enter the famed church, but its exterior is still a remarkable sight, and you'll have a chance to shop for souvenirs. Finally, it's off to the airport, passing even more of the city's sights along the way. Wheelchairs and folding strollers OK, no ECVs. Your flight must depart after 3:00 pm (domestic) or 4:00 pm (international). Can only be booked once on board your cruise. |
