San Angel Inn Restaurante |
Where but Disney can you dine at noon in a romantic, twilit Mexican plaza, while a cool evening breeze caresses your skin, a volcano steams ominously on the horizon and boats float by on the Gran Fiesta Tour (see 1391)? Despite the fine, authentic Mexican food, it’s the atmosphere that makes San Angel Inn (pronounced “San Anhel”) a favorite. For appetizers, we suggest tostados ($10.50) or sopa Azteca (tortilla soup, $7.50). For your entree, try their wonderful Pollo a las Rajas (chicken with red peppers and onion cream sauce—$19.95) and Enchiladas Verdes con Pollo (pulled chicken tortillas—$18.95). Check the Chef’s Selections for tempting items that go beyond simple “Mex.” A separate vegetarian menu offers two choices ($13-$18). The kids can choose from quesadillas, tacos, grilled chicken, or grilled tilapia ($8.50–$9.50). La Cava del Tequila lounge is adjacent to this eatery, and offers more than 200 types of authentic tequilas ranging in price from $8.75 to upwards of $50. You can also get margaritas, tapas, and other appetizers in this 30-seat lounge.

My husband and I ate here several years ago on our anniversary. We didn't have reservations but they fit us in even though they were booked up. The food was absolutely delicious; the service was great and the atmosphere was absolutely incredible!! We're going back again in October but we made reservations this time!!!

Not my favorite - we are used to Tex-Mex and this is not...

I love this restaurant; my husband does not! He did not care for the food, thought it was over-priced. I enjoyed my margarita and my meal and the ambiance is SO FUN! My kids love that there is a ride basically in the restaurant! Can't do that at home. :)

This restaurant is almost a must do for my sister and I when we travel. The atmosphere is fantastic and so refreshing after the heat. The food is great-get the tortilla soup.

Wish the food was as good as the decor...even half as good. For most americans, this style of Mexican food would probably be called an acquired taste. No one wants to have Taco Bell here....we can get that anywhere. But this is just not good tasting. Just know that this isn't going to be what you expect.

Very tasty food and love the decor! It's always nice to get indoors after time in the Florida sun and this place makes it even nicer!

Makes you feel like your in a Mexican village. I think the food is pretty darn good Mexican food. Other reviews say the food is just okay. I would definitely recommend this place.

We eat here every trip; food is just OK but best and coolest atmosphere of any restaurant in Epcot

I've heard this is hit or miss but we had a great meal and were seated right by the water.

The atmosphere in this restaurant is wonderful and this used to be one of my favorite places to eat (love Mexican food!) in Epcot, until they changed the chef. The quality went way downhill - the last two times we ate here (2013 & 2014) some of our dishes were inedible and the waitstaff was not up to the Disney standard. I haven't been back since (there are a lot of great places to eat at epcot) so not sure if things have gotten any better .

One of our favorite Epcot eateries. The atmosphere makes it even more fun. Food is good and a nice children's menu. The tequila lounge next door is a great place to try different types of tequila or grab a margarita! Yum!
