New Features in PassPorter 2002: 1. Coverage of the Recent Changes: Unlike every other 2002 guidebook out there, PassPorter 2002 has coverage of the many changes that occurred after 9/11. 2. Elastic Band Closure: Thanks to your suggestions, we've now added a sturdy elastic band to our back cover of our spiral edition. Use it to keep your PassPorter securely closed when it's stuffed with your plans and papers! (Note that the deluxe edition does not come with an elastic band as it has a snap closure instead.) 3. Disney Photographs: We're STILL the only unofficial Disney travel guide to include actual photos of the Walt Disney World resort! And this edition marks the debut of our own photography, so you'll see photos you've not seen elsewhere. You'll spot a magnificent photo of the Mickey's Sorcerer's Hat our cover, and 12 additional Disney photos of resorts, parks, and recreation within the text.
4. Two-Color Pages, Maps, Charts, and Photos: We've added a brilliant blue ink to all our pages for enhanced readability and a nicer look. Now our maps are even easer to understand! 5. New "Area" Tabs: At the top of our pages are "stamps" which indicate what area of the property the resort/park/eatery/etc. is located. Use this top tabs to quickly locate other places in the same neighborhood! 6. New Co-Author and KidTips: Dave's 9-year-old daughter Allie is now a co-author with the addition of her cool KidTips for the attractions. These are kid-styled tips--from one kid to another. Parents will enjoy these, too! 7. Enhanced Travel Tips: Wondering what travel will be like? Concerned about security issues? We've addressed your worries with our top ten tips and various notes throughout the guide. 8. Pop Century Resort: Its opening may be temporarily delayed, but it can't be too long -- and when it opens you'll have the info you need, plus a full resort map! 9. At-A-Glance Attraction Charts: Our original PassPorter (1999 edition) had handy attraction charts for quick lookup. When we expanded these with more info, we heard that you liked the information but also liked the at-a-glance charts. So we've added the charts back in, and this time they include the amount of time we recommend you allow for each attraction. 10. Our Favorite Touring Plans: You asked for 'em, you get 'em! These aren't commando plans, but rather practical plans for travelers who are looking for guidance. We offer plans for both adults and adults with kids. Also, the touring plans and our attraction-at-a-glance charts are printed on the back of our fold-out maps. So now if you just take our map to the park, you'll have lots of information at your fingertips! 11. Park Pass Prices: Want to know how much a ticket will cost in 2002? We've estimated prices based on historic data and placed prices per-day and per-pass in a handy-dandy chart so you can see at a glance which pass is most affordable. 12. Gift Shop Charts: Looking for a special souvenir? Check one of our four park charts for fun and unique items. 13. Age-Appropriate Ratings: We now offer suggested age ranges for all attractions to help parents judge whether or not an attraction is suitable for their child. 14. New Magical Memories, Tips, and Quotes: Not only are all the magic moments (touching Disney stories from real people) new in this edition, all the tips are as well -- plus we've increased the number of reader tips for each chapter! And we've got new rave reviews from our wonderful readers, plus fun stories of reader's adventures with their PassPorters. 15. Vegetarian and Health-Conscious Ratings: Find out which Disney eateries offer a good selection of vegetarian and/or healthy options. 16. Typical Menu Items: Another reader suggestion! We've added actual menu items--and their 2001 prices--to our eatery descriptions. 17.
