In our humble opinion, this is one of the best attractions in the park and our biggest reason to return. It’s in the spirit of Disneyland’s “Honey, I Shrunk the Audience” and “It’s Tough to be a Bug!” but (dare we say it) even a bit better. After entering via a covered, delightfully themed queue, you experience a 10-minute pre-show and then the 30-minute 3-D movie that artfully bridges the first Shrek movie with the second movie. Without giving too much away, Shrek and his new bride Fiona are pursued by the ghost of Farquaad on their way to their honeymoon—their companion Donkey shows up, of course. The effects are fun, the story is compelling, and the visuals are state-of-the-art. Try to sit in the middle of the theater to get the best 3-D effects. Assistive listening and closed captioning available. Guests may remain in wheelchair/ECV during attraction.
