One of my college roommates & I are planning a trip to Disney World next year to celebrate our 40th birthdays (and the Magic Kingdom's 40th birthday). Although she & I have made numerous trips with our husbands & kids this will be our first girls trip. We are both so excited, but since most of our Disney experiences have revolved around the kids we are looking for some advice on fun adult activites in Disney World. We will be staying at Caribbean Beach resort in September 2011 and we are getting the free dining plan so this will be my most affordable trip ever. My friend's 40th birthday will be one of the days we are actually at the parks and I am looking for some ideas to make her day extra special and fun. Could you also please recommend some restaurants for us to celebrate on her birthday? I am thinking possibly California Grill but neither of us has dined there before. We are not big fans of Downtown Disney, mostly because of the nightly crowds but I have never been in September before, what kind of crowds can we expect at that time of year?
Thank you so much for any advice and help you can give. I love the podcast and listen to them while doing my nightly walks a.k.a. training for Disney World! Keep up the good work.
Thanks,
Amanda Nash.....passportername: mandyindiana

Hi Moms,
Great podcast! Keep up the good work.
I have a question regarding DVC membership and the free dining promotions. Do you hear any grumbling around the DVC community about this? It seems in a way that Disney is short changing their loyal customers. Understandably they are using the promotion to lure new customers however it seems that they could be alienating repeat customers, such as DVC members, at the same time. I would love to hear your thoughts on this subject.
Thanks, Joanne

Listener Feedback:
Thank you so much for this informative podcast I recently purchased my CARES seatbelt for Zoey (who will be 23 months when we fly). I had never heard of CARES before visiting the PP boards. I feel much better knowing that there's a product out there like this.
Sara, it is so true, "The laws of physics supersedes the laws of the state in every circumstance." It's wonderful to know that the CARES system is avaliable for parents.
I hope other parents of little ones hear this podcast and discover this product.
I bought mine at Bed Bath and Beyond (w/ a 20% off coupon!)
Thanks again for the awesome job you ladies do, see you on the boards Disneydiana on September 3, 2010 @ 9:01 am disneydiana;3416787 >

Thanks Diana! That line is actually not mine - it belongs to another member of the message boards who was a recent guest on the podcast minniemouse27! She is a certified Car Seat Technician. But I loved the line and so stole it and use it often. Belle* on September 3, 2010 @ 10:21 am A very interesting and informative show. I also just wanted to let Sarah know that the Hotel Del Coronado is located in Coronado, CA and not La Jolla. La Jolla is located some 18 miles North of the Del. yojimbo_2000 on September 11, 2010 @ 1:52 am View all 3 comments about this podcast
