Details On This Episode: Feasting and Snacking Around The World (Episode #21 - 06/16/2010)
Description: Jennifer and Sara discuss the week's news, answer listener questions and chat with PassPorter Forum Guides Lesley Duncan (WDWfan) and Eileen Lloyd (Caldercup), Co-Guides from the Feasting & Snacking forum on the PassPorter message board.
Special Guest(s): Lesley Duncan, Eileen Lloyd - Lesley has travelled to Walt Disney World many times since her first visit in 1972. She's travelled there with her family, on adult only trips and as a solo traveler. As a DVC owner her trips have become more relaxed – and more frequent - and she loves to join friends for a lingering meal while at the World. Borrowing a saying from a friend -- Good Friends, Good Food and Good Wine make for many memorable meals shared at Disney. When back home she serves as a Guide on the PassPorter Boards and is busy planning a wedding for this September – her own!
Eileen had been to Orlando a few times in her teens and twenties, but it wasn’t until she took son on his first trip in 2002 that she fell completely under the spell of Disney's magic! Seeing the parks from her son's point-of-view “sealed the deal” for her with Disney. She’s since taken more than twenty trips to The World, and has been twice to Disneyland. In her non-Disney time, Eileen is an avid gardener, writer, and blogger. You can read about her zany dogs, see pictures of her gardens, and find out what’s cooking at www.thesublurbs.com.
Questions/topics we discuss in this podcast: Gospel Brunch at House of Blues Dinning "must do's" for a first timer Character breakfast Snack credit question
Hi, Great job on the podcasts. They are a great way to get my Disney "fix" and keep up on what's going on. Thank you. I have a question about mobility for seniors. We're looking to go to WDW next summer and are considering taking my in-laws along. They love being a part of the kids lives but age has limited their ability to get around. I know scooters are available at the parks but I've never requested one before so I'm trying to understand how to "Do Disney on a Scooter". After listening to other podcasts about options such as vacation homes and stroller rentals I have to wonder if there are options for scooters. We've decided to drive down and stay in the value resorts. And we're wondering how to plan for 2 scooters each day of the trip. Can they be reserved? Is there anything like "Orlando Stroller Rentals" for scooters? Are there any tips or traps to watch out for?
Any advice greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
"A Goofy Dad"

Listener Feedback:
I heard on the podcast today that there had been changes in the Fantasmic package. If I heard everything correctly, (I do listen in the car & I might have been paying too much attention to my driving, heaven forbid), that there now is a lunch package as well but it only included Brown Derby & Mama Melrose. We have been doing the Fantasmic package every year for about 11 years now. We usually eat at Hollywood & Vine although we occassionaly eat at Mama Melrose. I know when we were there in March, the latest ADR we could get was 3:45 for dinner which was really early for us. Two questions, one is Hollywood & vine no longer a choice & does this mean that there are both options for Lunch or dinner or is it lunch only? Thanks for everything that you do I adore the podcasts!! heatherwillmom on June 17, 2010 @ 1:37 pm Brown Derby, Mama Melrose and Hollywood & Vine are all available for dinner, but H&V isn't available for lunch. karen63 on June 17, 2010 @ 2:01 pm View all 2 comments about this podcast
