Details On This Episode: The Art of Disney Podcasting (Episode #12 - 04/13/2010)
Description: Join Jennifer and Sara as they discuss the latest news, preview the coming newsletter and chat with Shawn Bonneau and Katie Little, co-hosts of the WaltCast podcast. Learn about the art of Disney podcasting and amazing guests that Shawn and Katie have had on their show.
Special Guest(s): Shawn Bonneau and Katie Little - Shawn and Katie are the co-hosts of WaltCast, a weekly podcast regarding all things Disney. They have traveled to Disney both together over a dozen times. You can listen to their postcast at http://www.shawnbonneau.com/waltcast.
Shawn is a singer/songwriter who grew up in Maine. He worked as a stagehand for many concert venues in New England for a few years, gaining a lot of connections along the way. He has worked for the likes of Dave Matthews, Kenny Chesney, and was a stagehand for Ozzfest 2006 at the New England Dodge Music Center in Hartford, CT. His love for Disney has grown wider throughout the last decade, starting WaltCast with Katie in 2009. His song, “Breathe You,” has also become a staple on College Radio as well as Sirius XM.
Katie Little has been a Disney fan for as long as she can remember. Growing up, she was raised on Disney cartoons and movies, which sparked her "healthy obsession". She has been on many trips with her family and in 2006, had the opportunity to sing at EPCOT with her high school choir, which she considers one of her favorite Disney memories. Her love for podcasting began the moment she began listening in high school and eventually gravitated towards Disney podcasts and the Disney community. She is also currently a college senior working towards a degree in Rehabilitation Services.
WaltCast is a Disney Podcast hosted by Shawn Bonneau and Katie Little. The two have been dating since April of 2007 and have a shared interest in Walt Disney World. They have been to the Happiest Place on Earth many times together in the last three years.
WaltCast has welcomed many well known guests to their show, including Eddie Carroll, Melora Hardin, and Lee Cockerell. Future guests include Joe Hursh, Kelsey Grammer, and Marty Sklar.
Questions/topics we discuss in this podcast: Snorkeling Advice Should we or shouldn't we? Dole Whips? Mini solo trip to Orlando -- Advice please! Bernard Edwards asks: I have a question about Magic Morning early admission at Disneyland. My family and I are going on vacation there in August. I have a Disney Premier Passport, good at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. My wife and two children will need Disneyland tickets. I saw that if I buy them at Disney, I can get 1 Magic Morning early admission for them. My question is how does this work? Is it encoded on their ticket? Or do they get a separate voucher? If it is a voucher, are their names on it and thus it can only be used by a specific person? I ask because my wife would rather sleep in than get to the parks one hour early, and I would rather get up and take the kids. Can I use her Magic Morning "benefit" with my Disney Premier Passport?

Listener Feedback:
I just can't tell you enough how much that I enjoy the podcasts!! I really look forward to them each week. I feel as though Jennifer & Sara are my soul sisters. I am such a Disney freak. We make a yearly trip even though I have managed an extra trip some years. One big difference that I have is we drive each time. It's 12 hours each way. I envy the 2 of you so much. I couldn't imagine being able to incooperate my love for Disney with my job. If you ever need help, I would be glad to do anything that you need. I enjoy the passporter books as well. I have most of the e-books, as well as the WDW book & the Cruise guides. They are excellent. The combine 2 of my passions,Disney & being organized. keep up the great work!!
