Listen to Our Latest Episode: Best Viewing Tips for Parades, Shows, and Fireworks (Episode #122 - 05/15/2012)
Description: Join Jennifer and Sara as they discuss the PassPorter and Disney news this week, and share their tips for the best spots to see parades, shows, and fireworks. Questions/topics we discuss in this podcast: Emma (disneybarbie) from England writes: I had a couple of questions for you about our upcoming trip with my husband's family this August.. there will be eight of us and we're staying offsite in a vacation home at Windsor Hills. We have a breakfast reservation at Tusker House on our first morning at 8am, but Animal Kingdom doesn't open until 9am... we'd like to get to the park nice and early (which will be easy with the 5 hour jet lag!) so that we can pick up our tickets from guest relations. So my questions are..
1. What time does the parking lot open at Animal Kingdom? (I'm worried if we get there for 7.30am it won't be open yet!)
2. Will it be possible to rent a stroller from Garden Gate Gifts at that time in the morning (before park opening)? I'd also like to upgrade the Photopass pre-order CD I have bought to the Photopass Plus option - before we get to Tusker House and have photos taken there.
Thank you so much for the podcast, I listen every week on my way to work and really enjoy it.
Connie writes: Myself and some members of our family were recently picked for the parade in the Animal Kingdom. We were coming from the Safari ride about 1 hour before the scheduled time of the parade right by the fast pass machines. We were approached by a cast member in casual clothes not a costume. He asked us if we were going to stay and watch the parade. I felt we were the correct number of people and we were in the right place at the right time My 5 year old granddaughter was with us and 5 adults. We rode on the float with Mickey at the end of the parade. It was a highlight of our vacation! There are a few floats with guests in this parade so there is a greater opportunity to be chosen!
