Photographs and Memories

Many vacationers bring a camera or a camcorder to record their trip, or just use the camera on their cell phones. Most seem content to simply take pictures as the mood strikes them, but you can also "collect" pictures as well! Here are some ideas for fun photograph collections: Disney puns and visual gags that often go unnoticed (try "holding up" the monorail track in your photos); your favorite spot at different times of the day; all of the "Nikon Picture Spot" signs; and pictures through the eyes of your children (give them their own disposable camera). How about a photo of each family member next to their favorite attraction? If you take these same photos on return trips, you can make a "growth chart" over time. Another idea is to hold a family photo scavenger hunt for fun things and places around Disneyland.

Souvenirs

If you enjoy taking home souvenirs but you're tired of the usual T-shirts or postcards, consider beginning a new collection. Chances are that if you can collect it, Disney and every other attraction has it in their stores. Some favorite collectibles are trading pins, patches (you can sew them onto your packs), figurines, hats, clothing, stuffed animals, mini bean bags, antenna balls, and themed toys (Ginger collects "Frozen" dolls and other itemssee the photo above!). Love shopping? Here's a mini worksheet to help you organize the items you want to purchase for yourself and others in Southern California!
