Disney Trading Pins
Colorful, enameled commemorative pins are a favorite Disney collectible, available at nearly every shop. Disney designs thousands of these colorful, cloisonné pins, which commemorate the theme parks, resorts, attractions, characters, and events. Over the years, Disney stepped up pin trading activity by introducing Pin Trading Stations at the parks and the Disney’s Pin Traders shop at Downtown Disney, where you can buy and swap pins. Bring (or buy) your own Disney pins, and trade pins with other guests and with cast members wearing special pintrading lanyards around their neck. Note that cast members wearing green lanyards trade only with children, and cast members can only trade metal pins that have “© Disney” stamped on the back. Pin trading is a fun way to meet fellow vacationers and learn more about the world of Disney. Buy a Disney pin lanyard, or display your pins in a scrapbook, or on a vest or hat (see photo above). We’ve collected hundreds of trading pins and proudly display them in our home on black felt squares attached to a corkboard. For more information, news, and an online pin store, visit

Made With Magic

Disney offers a line of light-up Mickey Mouse Ear hats and accessories that "glow with the show!" If you wear or carry these Made with Magic hats and accessories at World of Color in Disney California Adventure (or at select shows at Walt Disney World), it will receive directions to light up at specific times, in sync with the show! In effect, you become part of the show. You don't have to be at a show for them to work—you can always place your Made with Magic items in a color-changing demo mode at any time. One accessory, the Sorcerer Mickey wand, even gives you the ability to change the light patterns of other Made With Magic items, such as the Ear Hat. Made with Magic items currently include the Mickey & Friends Ear Hat ($28.17), Minnie Headband ($28.17), and the Sorcerer Mickey Wand ($28.17), and the Mickey Glove ($23.47).
