![]() Choosing a Disney Hotel PackageChoosing a Disney Hotel Package |
Disney’s vacation packages offer the promise of simplicity, peace of mind, and an air of luxury to the bewildered vacation planner. Even better news: Disney package rates can be lower than the total list price for each package component, particularly on the seasonal and special packages offered. Prices vary considerably—be sure you price out the components of the package at full price to be sure you’re getting a good deal. You may book a minimum of two nights and a maximum of 14 nights for most packages. Tip: Guests can now add the Disney MaxPass service ($10/person/day) to a Disneyland Resort Vacation Package—MaxPass is a service that allows you to make FASTPASS reservations from your smartphone, as well as gives you free PhotoPass downloads. At press time, these are the available Disney packages: |
Disney's Resort Hotel Package
Available year-round, you get two nights or more at a Disney hotel, one-park-per-day tickets (which can be upgraded to a Park Hopper ticket for an additional fee); one Extra Magic Hour early entry pass for certain rides at one park; an ESPN Zone Burger Bundle (one hamburger and $10 ESPN Zone card for $15), special discount card for 10% off dining and merchandise at participating locations throughout Downtown Disney District, one 5x7 photo from a selected attraction ride, and a collectible pin and lanyard (pins, lanyards, and early entry are one per guest; all other offers are one per package). Prices start at $506/person (two adults, two nights, two tickets) or $341/person (same package, adding two children).
|
Disney's Good Neighbor Package
This includes everything in the package described above, but accommodations are at one of the 41 Good Neighbor hotels instead. See page 55 and following pages for descriptions of Disney's Good Neighbor hotels. Prices for the package at a low-budget economy Good Neighbor hotel start at $301/person (two adults, as above) or $239/person (as above, adding two children).
|
Disney Rewards Visa Vacation Package
Disney periodically offers special packages available exclusively to Disney Visa cardholders. The 2016 package offers the same items as the Good Neighbor package, plus a luggage tag, Park Hopper tickets, and free round-trip transportation to South Coast Plaza.
|
Disney's Southern California Vacation Package
Everything in the Resort Hotel package, but accommodations are at either a Disney Hotel or a Good Neighbor hotel, plus overnight hotel stay(s) at one or more additional destinations, including San Diego, Los Angeles, or Orange County Beach, along with admission to select Southern California attractions. Prices will vary wildly, depending on the hotels and destinations you select. Book through Disney or a travel agent.
|
In addition to the above, seasonal packages may be offered. For example, in the past there have been a number of packages that offered two free nights if you stayed three. To see what is being offered during your vacation dates, visit https://disneyland.disney.go.com/offers-discounts/. Book packages through the Walt Disney Travel Co. at 800-854-3104 or 714-520-5060, at https://disneyland.disney.go.com/hotels/, or through a travel agent. Many outside organizations offer Disneyland packages, too. Organizations include AAA (http://www.aaa.com), Amtrak (http://www.amtrak.com), and Delta Vacations (http://www.deltavacations.com). |

RE: More info
AAA no longer offers a Disneyland package, but Costco Travel does (https://www.costcotravel.com/Specialty/Disney/Disneyland-Resort).
