About the Authors

Name: Jennifer Marx

Date of birth: 10/09/68

Residence: Ann Arbor, MI

Jennifer Marx Jennifer discovered Disneyland while playing hooky from a writers conference in the mid-‘90s. Her solo explorations took her to the Disneyland Park and the Disneyland Hotel (that’s essentially all there was back then) and she was amazed to find a place so richly steeped in magic. She’d been to Walt Disney World countless times by this point, but it was only at Disneyland that she felt the presence of Walt Disney himself and sensed a deeper connection to the people who adored him. Since that fateful visit, she’s returned many times since with her son. They’ve added many other Southern California attractions to their itineraries over the years, too. Jennifer is the author of more than 30 titles, almost half of which have been travel guides to various Disney destinations. Jennifer lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where she makes her home with her son, Alexander.

Dave Marx Dave is the co-author of PassPorter's Walt Disney World and PassPorter’s Disney Cruise Line. After a lifetime of “not knowing what I want to be when I grow up,” he has finally found a satisfying answer. He has a broad professional background in print and electronic media, photography and music, and enjoys bringing nearly all his talents to bear at PassPorter. A “foodie” since his pre-teen days and a “techie” in the performing arts for many years, he takes special joy in reviewing eateries and reporting on the brilliance of Disney’s Imagineers. Like so many of us, Dave has been inspired by Walt Disney and his creations since birth. A “Jersey Boy,” he first visited Disneyland in the mid-1970s and envies Southern Californians their “home court advantage."

Ginger Holland Jabour

Ginger is a retired Air Force colonel, Assistant Scoutmaster, volunteer tutor, and former tv reporter. She first visited Disneyland in 1984 as a newly minted second lieutenant. She started nearly annual visits when her husband attended conferences at the Grand Californian, and really fell in love with the place, scheming ever since to return as often as possible. While she studied journalism in college, wrote many speeches and news releases, and edited newspapers in the Air Force, this is her first book. She’s thrilled to finally be a Disneyland Annual Passholder! She enjoys wrangling more Disney visits, scrapbooking, teaching, photography, beaches, and working with Scouts (camping she just tolerates). She lives in Beavercreek, Ohio, with husband, Jay, and younger son, Mark, soon to attend Ohio State University. Her older son, Matt, is a Purdue graduate and working for a living. Ginger is currently learning to fly in a Cherokee Archer II and became a "snowbird" in winter 2017. Anna is her hero.
