Spaceship Earth |
Go inside the huge geodesic sphere that towers above Epcot for a look at the development of communication technologies from cave paintings through the space age. Four-seat “time machine” vehicles take you up into the huge sphere past dozens of Audio-Animatronics reenacting milestones in communication. A renovation in 2007 added new ride scenes, changes to existing scenes, an interactive touchscreen in the “time machine” vehicle, and narration by actress Dame Judi Dench. At the end of the ride, you’ll exit into a post-show exhibit, Project Tomorrow, sponsored by Siemens, where you can do things such as “build a body” in 3-D, experience a driving simulation game, and check out an illuminated globe with a collage of futuristic images. Adults should accompany and sit beside children. We suggest you visit at park opening or in the evening for shorter waits. Outdoor queue is mostly covered. Guests must transfer from wheelchair. Alex’s ToddlerTip: A Allie’s KidTip: “You’ll love all the lights. And it’s good for learning.” Allie’s TeenTip: “Really boring.”

I love this ride. I love the fun way they go through history. It is fun doing the interactive storyline about the future and seeing our pictures in the story.

Do this one later in the day when you can walk on and don't waste a fastpass.
Horace Horsecollar gave this a rating of 8 on 06/30/2016 at 4:44:51 pm EDT
A classic, must-see attraction at Epcot. FastPass+ has changed how easy it is to get on, though.

LOVE THIS RIDE!!
TomiRocket gave this a rating of 10 on 06/27/2016 at 12:21:22 pm EDT
educational without being boring the children. prior to fastpass+ there was NEVER a line, now its LONG (but does tend to move fast)

Fun and educational. Don't be affraid of the Lines they move quickly. Shorter lines later in the day when guests have moved to the back of the park.

It would be awesome to randomly sprinkle in "classic" narrations. Then I would give it a 10.

Don't miss. This is a great ride through the history of the world. My sister makes fun of me, because the end always brings a tear to my eye!

Classic Disney ride. I never remember everything inside from one trip to the next so it's always fun to ride. The trip down is done with your buggy reversed. This can be a bit hard on your head and neck.

Another great way to sneak some education into a magical vacation.

You have to ride in Spaceship Earth! It's also a history lesson.

This is my favorite ride in Epcot. I love the theatrical and old school / classic feel of the scenes, especially the ancient ones. We always strain to see the hidden Mickeys.

Another one to not pass up. Unlike other attractions whose updates were sometimes a letdown, the Spaceship Earth updates are usually pleasing. The addition of interactive screens in the vehicles during the 2007 rehab is a welcome distraction. And the musical score is wonderful.

It's not a favorite, but it's still a must ride every visit.

No visit is complete without a ride on Spaceship Earth. We usually wait until the afternoon when the lines are short.
Ms Minnie gave this a rating of 9 on 06/10/2016 at 6:22:33 am EDT
IT was very OK. We went later in the day so we did not have a long line which I am glad because it seemed slow for me.
